Personally I think high chapparel's effort was probably the best because of the quality of horses he had behind him. Alamshar, islington, moon ballard and falbrav weren't mugs by any standards. And if I remember rightly, this race was his 1st in his 4 year old season

So this race usually attracts horses that have won or have been placed in a Group 1 race such as the Epsom Derby and Sandown's Eclipse Stakes. I remember Sea The Stars, the undisputed champion of 2009 winning that year and the 2011 renewal features at this stage between So You Think and Snow Fairy.
