so whats the point in loading up the bar if your gunna use the bands like that, i mean its not gunna make it harder eccentrically since the weights just gunna bring the bar down anyway, seems like you were just trying to lift more than you can lift and it ended in quite a predictable manner
@Grummski yeah I guess but i would get the band going from the bar to the bottom of the rack so that it provides resistance rather than assistance, but that's probably not a real smart idea if your trainin by yourself
@sillo1984 either way you would have to dump the plates off. with the red bands at the bottom I would say it's no more than 60kg (and probably about 95kg at the top) so not like i have 200 sitting on my chest lol

@ben1996ful explain to me how I get the bar off my chest then? rule #1 when benching alone = NEVER put spring clips or collars on the bar (second rule is to fail forwards not backwards so you don't guillotine yourself)

@ben1996ful you do realise I deliberately tipped the weights off don't you? if you put the clips/collars on and the bar gets stuck on your chest or worse throat, how do you get the weight off?
