I learned this dance in an intensive and I truly think it is one of the hardest pieces because your footwork and head must be so precise not to mention you have to be in sync with 4 other girls while holding onto them!!!!

What KIROV? That's history now. The Theater has reverted to its Tsarist name of Mariinsky! Almost. It was the Imperial Mariinsky Theater of Petrograd originally. Sergei Kirov, by the way, was the Mayor of Leningrad. and was assassinated in 1935. So the theater was renamed in his honour. Sadly, his assassination sparked the Great Purges.

I believe this is the American Ballet Theatre, or possibly the Kirov Ballet. This IS in fact the original choreography. I have the strongest inkling that this is Balanchine's work. A VERY strong inkling.

Isn't this the original cheography? I've seen 4-5 swan lakes and dance of the little swan has always been the same, granted I do not know the exact details and there maybe small variations or minor changes/difference here and there.
