First of all those are NOT WW II German Officers Boots. The Riding or Jackboots worn by German Officers had Leather Soles and Heels with a Countersunk U plate which was flush with the heel for extended wear. What you have there are Post War Surplus issed to the East Germans by the Russians. The height of the shafts of the German Officers Boots from WWII are slightly taller the the ones in your hand. By the way that size 27 is between a US Mens 8 1/2 to 9 size.

ya youre right, those boots are post wwii boots. idk what he is talking about?? the wwii boots didn't have rubber bottoms, they had hob nails
