  • Love it!

  • i <3 HOW U MAKE IT COME TO LIFE ... KEEP IT UP

  • 'Kaiden' is spelled wrong at the end. xD

    But however: Interesting video. [:

  • @DiivaXofficial Yeah, well aware...("Audrey" is also misspelled, much to my chagrin). However, the gent who filmed/edited lives several states away, & I'm completely clueless as to how it could be corrected without accidentally deleting the thing--or royally futzing it up.

For what it's worth, I've made a note of it whenever I've lectured somewhere/had the clip screened. But still: I wish I were able to rectify the situation in the footage itself.

Thanks for taking time to watch & comment!

I just love how Clint brings this phenomenon to light with such poetic beauty...

  • yay !!! amazing <3<3<3

  • This is so cool. I think that if Andy Warhol was still alive today, he would definitely approve of this kind of video art.

  • totals!

did u know clint & audz were in the warhol museum last year?

(pics of them & their artwork)

    RAD! right?

  • wait a minute...audz is actually pretty good in this!!

  • pure GENIUS.

alliteration + extreme amounts of color correction = amazing. <3

  • i love this, your spoken word is so sexy, the music is perfect, the girls are beautiful and this is brilliant. brava brava brava u wonderful artist.

i love it, big kudos to Nicholas Wolfkind too

  • a great creation, video, cast and of course writing and delivery are brilliant. It occurs to me that we need Clint Catalyst spoken word albums, and I mean need in the same way we need water and air.

The marriage of meter and music is spot on.

    -P. Emerson Williams

  • i'm not quite sure that i get it.

soooo, he's stalking her? or what? ._.

  • Well...both the video and the text (available to the right if you click "More Info" -- thereby sparing you buying a copy of my book Cottonmouth Kisses!) leave several things open for interpretation, but short answer?

    Yeah.

The narrator (who in this case, also happens to be the writer) is viewing someone from 'afar' whom is not the person he knew--or rather, not the person she once was (in his impression, the result of 'fame'/'notoriety' and what she did to achieve it).

  • HOWEVER, to be fair: I should probably also mention that the 'Club Girl' archetype has a companion piece: "Flouncing About." (I hope to have that one filmed for presentation soon, incidentally.)

"Flouncing About" is also written in what's referred to as the 'Third Person'-- i.e., there's a narrator telling the story and his/her "take," rather than it being through the position of "I" (which, by the way, ≠ the writer, necessarily; it's a device).

Subject of the 2nd poem? *Might* very well be

  • <3 amazing.

  • kikass!! I love the beautiful pink goddess!!!

  • she;s ok. i love the briliant poet far more.

  • This blew my mind-bulb. Like kapow.

  • incredible very concrete meaning in its simplicity

    and amazing editing

  • You've outdone yourself, I love this piece.

    XX

  • ahhh!!

    audrey <3

    kaiden

    you!

    everyone looks marvelous.

  • greatness.

what music did you use on this, it works so well with the spoken word.

  • Yeah that was kinda interesting, that girl with the pink hair is just fantastic,i'll give you 5 stars cos it's well put together and cos she's in it :)

  • Clint, you are a wonderful and magnificent man.

  • Very entertaining!

I like the effect of the cloth over the tv screen, it made it look sort of liquid

  • It's a shame that this has already been done a thousand times before by every pretentious but essentially untalented art student the world over.

  • I know, right? A damn shame... So much so that let's see how long it takes you to list three of them by name.

    How 'bout five?

Pull that one off, and you'll prove your own "talent" is more than that of a bitter uptight cunt...or wait? How's the expression go again?

    Those who can't *do* criticize?

Get a default photo; get a productive hobby; put your OWN neck on the line-- and then we'll talk. Kay? ...and

    "thanxbi!"

  • @fagpantsss BITCH GOT PWND!! fuckyeah, Clint :)

  • 500 character comment limit be damned. This here is a two parter:

@fagpantsss It's a shame that you waste your time criticizing those who are more talented than yourself. Think you can do better? Make a goddamn video of your own and post it for the entire interweb-world to see. And who are you to say who is talented & who is not? NO ONE, that's who.

  • @fagpantsss {part duce}: Art, just like ALL forms of beauty, is in the eye of the beholder, cliché statement , but still true. I pity your lack of culture and art appreciation. If you are so unimpressed with Mr. Catalysts' work - then quit coming to view it.

    Simple.

  • *nods

  • So first you tell me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder (which is very true) but you then go on to say that if I don't appreciate this video it means that I am uncultured? That's a nice double standard you've got there. I'm not going to make a video and upload it because I have no desire to, however this does not mean that I shouldn't be able to judge something that is posted in a public place.

  • double standard? Yeah, maybe it could be read that way. Still, in my opinion I do feel that you lack culture. lol. Feel free to reply directly to me if you like, but I am not taking up anymore space on here with back-and-forth mess. Thanks.

  • I also didn't state that this guy is untalented, I merely said that I didn't like this video and that I'd seen similar things countless times. I mean, if you really only want to here compliments about your work then you probably shouldn't upload it where anyone can see it and comment.

  • Correct, you did not call him untalented outright, but you did insinuate is with the initial statement that you made

I just think it is rather sad you spend your time leaving criticizing comments on things that people have worked so hard on.

  • I'm sorry that you've decided to take this so personally but if someone decides to display their work to the world I assume that they can take criticism. Obviously this is not the case. There are more than enough positive comments here to outweigh my few negative ones and I'm sure it will all be alright in the end.

  • I SEE NO FLAWS...<3

    more please!!

  • yup! got my f'in attention! lol.

    5!

    HCM

  • This is why you're the master and we are the student. Epic.

  • whoah shit i didn't see this coming. nice f**king job, clint!
