I can't imagine my life without my Rhodesian Ridgeback, she is my heart. People who don't understand the love of an animal are truly missing one of the most precious relationships one can have in life. My husband and family view our dog as another child, too precious for words. Shame on those who make unkind comments.
I am with you on that. Just hearing you read the story that it makes me very sad. I am a huge animal lover and each one has their own personalities. They are definitely family members for me. Ours act like toddlers which is cute but sometimes frustrating (but I still love them to death)

i agree with everything you say. i was on the ajc forums all yesterday and today. people who are saying terrible things about our beloved mascot need to just keep to themselves because it shows that they have no class and no heart whatsoever.

our dog cherri is 13 and a half years old. she is part of the family. she has grown up with my son who is 13. so I definitely feel their pain and sadness. thank god for our animals that make our lives full.
My dog had to be put to sleep about 3 weeks ago after being part of my family for 7 years. That dog was like a little brother to me. Rest in peace Shadow.
He is my Son. And i treat him like a child. He is all i have in this world, Well not in the world. I have kids. But he is always there for me. And im proud to say that i Love my Buddie , And he is a Buddie.
I know you love your Buddie...and you know how I feel about my baby too. Of course this wasn't MY dog ,but out of respect people should keep their trap shut.

All my brothers and sisters went to UGA back in the 80's UGA (not sure which # he was), but was such a loving baby. :(
