Such a cool opening. It's no wonder X-Men became so popular in Japan - and I also saw clips of this in a Japanese commercial for X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse. I'm pretty sure this caught Capcom's eye and that's why they reached out to Marvel and started making games together (let's hope they keep it up).

Why does Cyclops' optic blast make the same sounds as the Ghostbusters' proton packs? And why is the Brood working for Magneto? And why is Cable there when he was barely ever on the show? And why's he fighting a mech? And then why is Gambit fighting a mech? And the Jean Grey's clothes really have that thong back? And what does crying for the moon have to do with anything? And when did the Blackbird learn to bend like that? And why's Iceman there? ... I clearly have many questions.

@freckleKaren I might be wrong about the Reavers (but those bikes are definitely Jim Lee inspired) but that is Krakoa. It's not a good shot but I used to own Classic X-Men 1 (where Krakoa held the original X-Men prisoner sans Cyclops).

@squall600 Because they used terrible J Pop music that weaboos orgasm over? Making the characters far more over powered then the actual canon themselves, News cap, Beast can't cause earthquakes... I will give this intro one thing though. It does a fantastic job at making it feel absolutely nothing like the comic book.
