This is what ill be doing beginning in march, goin to atr winchester as a junior. I tryed getting into Harrogate as junior para but thats full until September pretty shit like. All i really want is to get the junior training under my belt though ahaha
The "Yellow thing" is a BFA - Blank Firing Attachment. The reason we use this is because when using blank rounds, there is less expelled air from a blank round than there is from a live round, meaning that the BFA helps re-cock the weapon by pushing some air back down the barrel. It's also a safety thing, in the sense that within about 5 feet there can be slight damage done if there wasn't a BFA attached.
i want to go in the army and it would be Armoured 1st choice but im 50/50 with it i want to join but there is all that training and i know i would not keep up at all with all that running and push-ups and pull-ups lol but i r8 want to give it a try.
you have some awesome vids. im hopin to join the army when i finish sixth form but i was wondering can you join any regiment or is it only the ones that recruit locally because im thinkin about joinin armorued but the one local to me is light role.
You can join any regiment you like if they have a nationwide recruitment zone. the RAC probably does, go on the armys website they have a chatroom where you can ask questions.
i realise u probably have the answer anyway, by now but if you dont - im 99.9% sure that you can join any unit you want providing you fullfill the grade and fitness requirements and, i know quite a few people from my local unit (4 SCOTS - armoured inf.) and there are guys from all over the place when the highlanders recruiting area is only the highlands.
Northerners don't fuck about.

You may as well go for it m8. There are no jobs as it is and the best job(s) of being in the army are freely available.
