Softball for Beginners : How to Catch a Fly Ball

Im 14, 15 in May, and I play right field. I don't understand why they put me in right feild because Im terrible at pop flys. I always judge the distance wrong, how can i fix ittt?

my couch says to make it look like its gunna hit ur feet and when u run DONT backpeddle turn and run with the ball cuz we had to catch 5 the other just to go home because we backpeddle haha!!:) and he says back up fother cuz u can run faster foward not backwards!! well i hope i helped:)

Again,he is teaching some of it right,but how to stand to possition yourself for speed to either run up or side's and jog back a little if needed is missing.You never start out with your feet and body faing forward or to either side,you must stand side ways almost as you do batting so that you can move quickly in all directions.

great tips but the lighting is bad I couldn't see her catch the ball. Try a sunny area
