i think there are some of these game's that shouldn't be retired, like penny ante, joker, buy or sell, make your mark, hit me, poker game and super ball shouldn't be retired
@Steventhe2nd Yes SuperBall is one of my personal all time favorites...
There is an interesting story behind Penny Ante. The producers had no intention on retiring that game,The prop was left outside on a clear sunny day with no rain in the forecast, however a rain shower came out of nowhere and destroyed the prop. The producers hesitated to restore the prop but decided just to retire it instead.
I enjoyed seeing the old Price is Right games. I especially am glad to see a game that I was wondering really existed. I remembered a game where you pulled on a rope and something would fall down (possibly even water) but was thinking maybe I imagined it. Thanks to this video, I now know I did not imagine it! Now I know it was called "The Shower Game". I remembered that one in the 70's when I was a child.
@NYBredBamaFed Me too. I just wish I could find a clip of some of these games being played. I never got a chance to see Shower Game, Finish Line, or Telephone Game.
Oh No! Not Bump It! I love the game....Drew Carry is a very good host, But I miss Bob Barker love him, he is Price Is Right and no one can take his place, and also I miss the original Barker's Beauty, sorry Drew the Price Is Right is just not the same...I wished I could have met Mr. Barker before he retired, I do hope he's doing well..And remember folks have your pets spayed or neutered. :-)
Courtesy of Kathy Greco "Clearance Sale & Barker's Bargain Bar have both been retired. Some games just run their course as did Clearance Sale. Bargain Bar was very old and needed a complete remodel. We felt the money would be better spent on the new set and on some new games."
I feel the same way. I used to taped nearly all the TPIR episodes when it was on GSN. It was fun seeing how much things were worth back then (such as cars) also seeing how much things were when they first came out such as microwaves.
Kathy Greco, said the game was retired, on the show's website.

I hope in 2010 Credit Card, Gas Money, and/or Check Game don't join the TPIR retired pricing game list!

Well my quote come from Kathy Greco Producer on the Price is Right, Posted on the Price is Right web site last week.
It is possible back then they were going to rehab the game, but posting old info from a non-affiliated website wont make it true.
Sorry
