I guess they were trying to sing a song about the Union Pacifics City of Los Angeles or with the comment about Santa Fe NM it might have been the Santa Fe Super Chief or El Capitan but I cant figure out how the CALIFORNIA ZEPHER got mixed up in the song. It should have been about the CB&Q or the D&RGW or maybe the Western Pacific heck they may have gotten away with the SP I think it used there main one way between Sac CA and SLC UT not Sure about that though.

What the hey, gues they just cant sing a song about a train without fibbing or making it up as they go cause the song writers did not check on the facts or maybe they were actually illiterate hobos. Maybe just riding a boxcar from Miami to Seattle and seeing it was a Wabash car they thought they were on the bums Cannon ball.... Who knows most of these tunes were written by people long dead and gone now....

The Cal. Zephyr was the WESTERM Pacific queen and she left from Oakland, not L.A. She was also queen of the Rio Grande & Burlington Route
