  • To Hamburglar: One should not indict an entire Police Dept. or the entire police force of a state for the actions of a few who should have never had power. There are bad apples in every bunch who must be sought after and removed from their positions of power. But to say that every police officer in Iowa is "KKK" is one of the most ignorant things I have ever read in print, which considering the era that we live in is saying something.

  • It is astonishing that there are people who seem to think this man's obviously drunken state somehow justifies what happened to him. I'm not aware of any jurisdiction in the world that provides for summary execution by beating as a penalty for drunk driving; guilt of one crime hasn't rendered a person an outlaw for hundreds of years.

  • k. eldred and d. templeton are fantastic people. they did there job and did it well. i had the privilege of working with these officers for many years. they took many drunks off the street and saved many lives. although i have not seen or spoken to them for years i support them 100 percent

  • WOW!!!! at 5;37 IT SOUNDS LIKE AN OFFICER SAYS SOMETHING THEN BANG A LOUD NOISE ON SOME KIND, WISH THIS VIDEO CAN BE CLEANED UP SOME SO WE CAN HEAR WHAT WAS SAID. tHIS TAPED INTTERVIEW WAS ACTUALLY ABOUT 1-MIN AND 30 SECONDS OF STOPPED TAPE THE MOVIE SAID OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, SOUNDS LIKE HE STRUCK HIM AFTER HE SAID SOMETHING TO HIM.

  • This all makes sense when you realize this is the heart of Michele Bachmann country. Marshalltown is full of rednecks.

  • I watched the movie and I was also horrified. Horrified that this guy was out driving around drunk. How many lives were endangered by his behavior? I'm not sure of the purpose of this video, simply to prove how drunk this kid was?

  • @WillCoachforFood Yea, the video is to prove the kid was way too drunk to have even come close to making the jump claimed by police. Yes he should've been punished for driving drunk and endangering others, but he didn't deserve to have his head beat in by the police.

  • I watched the movie and was horrified. The family lost their son. The cops never had to face justice. I believe this movie should have been made. There are good cops and there are bad cops, and when a cop breaks the law, he should be prosecuted. I am so sorry for the family of Kevin and his friends. Blessings.

  • Yes they are dirty! Marshalltown justice system has been cracked for years and it makes some of us wonder why anyone believes in the system at all!! This is sad and I was a puled to come across this . I feel bad for the family. How does something like this get out in the media!! SHAME SHAME ON WHO EVER IT IS!!

  • @vhpcad33 i think its good for people to see this but then again sad for the family... ive also heard of a few suspicious deaths in the hands of the m-town PD

  • I could not believed this happened in 1983! Those two cops were only thinking of themselves and protecting themselves they were not there to protect Kevin Thacker or his devoted parents. What happened when Stuart Pepper went to Supreme Court to appeal the judge's decision? Did the cops serve any time?

  • @dorierosales : So far I don't these guys ever faced time. According to the film's ending, it said the FBI just ignored the case. Plain and simple, these dudes were and still are dirty! I JUST don't see a drunken man trying a 12 foot leap onto another building in the dark, only sustaining 1 major injury, and having a pack of cigarettes and or a lighter remain in his pocket during that leap.

  • I did not know Kevin personally but I know several people who did. None of these people think he tried to escape. From what I know of the Marshalltown police I'd say there is a very strong likelyhood that one or more officers are guilty beyond reasonable doubt for killing this man. I have had two friends die at the hands of Marshalltown police and County sheriff. And yes, just like this case with Kevin, nothing was ever done to the officers causing the death. This community needs

    to wake up.

  • All the police department in Iowa are KKK!

  • @HamburglarXxX

I think all the black and hispanic officers might have something to say about that.

  • So sad. That is all I can say,

  • I think any police department from Iowa are KKK. I know the person was a white young man. That goes to show you a snake is just a snake, I DONT TRUST THEM!

  • why in the world is this on here? the only reason i can think of is because of the lifetime movie that is being showed about him tomorrow night...

  • I can not even begin to tell you how much it hurts to see this video. Why is it here? Why can you not let Kevin and our parents rest in peace? You are a cruel and heartless person! You show no regard for those who( because of you) must keep living this tragedy! It's about your movie isn't it Stuart?

  • @thackerkevin11 to show people how dirty the marshalltown police really is

  • i hope you actually care about the situation and others like this, more than making money off of this considering the family wasn't contacted at all in regards to this film. sure, it may be legal but its not respectable.
