Yeh, everybody thought that this was awful and it focused too much on the comedy aspect and none of the story and character development, but I LOVED it and thought it was both funny, entertaining, suspensfull, romantic, VERY DARK, and action-packed to the MAX!!! Superman: the quest for peace SUCKED!!!!!!! was totaly let down by the whole film, looked too much like movie was set in the 2000's, and super bad guy was obnoxious and annoying with his STUPID caveman voice. Superman 3 is AWSOME!!!

The problem with Superman 3 is that its fragmented. Basically for every 15 minutes of garbage we will suddenly see moments of brilliance. For example: The factory on fire was boring but they then follow up with Superman transforming into a darker version. The kid being resuced was boring but you have that awesome Superman vs Superman fight in the junkyard. If it had more consistency it would've been fantastic. It's not ALL bad but it's not ALL good either.

I think the best part of the movie was Clark Kent fighting Superman. They should of had them seperated a while longer. And have Clark Kent not want too reemerge with Superman. But during the course of the movie, he has too.

The villains tried recreating kryptonite but one element turned up unknown. So Richard Pryor's character, who's kindof a goof up, decides to use tar in place of the missing element, resulting in a kryptonite that makes Superman evil instead of killing him. It later causes Superman to split into an evil Superman and good Clark once he started feeling guilt over being evil.

This has to be one of the best fan trailers i've seen on this site. Love the ending. I've said it before and i'll say it again; Superman III is an extremely underrated movie. (Not the best movie) but great action, awesome fight scene, and Richard Pryor is hilarious through the entire film. Good job!

What ruined Superman is the hiring of director Richard Lester. He single handedly ruined Superman II which, if filmed based on the original script, would have been the BEST superhero movie ever. Lester then directed III which was more slapstick then crime-fighting. This trailer is A LOT better than the original trailer for III which spoiled the whole film...

I will be honest. The movie was great for some parts. But as much as I like Pryor, it was nothing but a little campy. Donner left because of this. Was Lethal Weapon campy? No. Donner was trying to make the movie feel like a Superman movie. However, you have to blame those two brothers for this. Supes 3 is good for a watch Superman in a different scenerio feel.
