Lucas 2 is a little more effective compared to the AutoPulse. The only thing that matters is that they both provide "Effective CPR" and if the time ever came, I would want either of these machines providing CPR for myself!
@cbskywarn The Lucas 2 looks like it beats down on a half dollar sized spot and not much more. I don't know the full specs and story on that machine, but it appears to do half ass work in comparison to the Autopulse. The Autopulse wraps the whole chest cavity pulling down equally in every area, not just on one specific area. I would think that you would also have less trauma to the rib cage and cartilage this way too.
It really is a terrible shame it costs as much as it does. We have a DEMO model and i'm quite certain our company will not purchase them based on the cost alone. I have become an absolute true believer in this device. I really did successfully resus two patients on 6/9/09 during my 24 hr shift. Both patients were presented in asystole. I was beside myself after discovering we had ROSC with strong pulses and non life threat arrhythmias
Hey, moron, it frees up another person to start an IV or to push drugs or to intubate or to do paperwork or whatever else is needed. Maybe before you comment, you should pull your head out of your rectum.
What the hell are you talking about?! you do know people tire out over time and the cpr is less effective!pull your head out of your ass and work as a paramedic and use this on a code.then see what you think
The three buttons you are looking at are as follows : Green-Start Compressions, Orange: Stop compressions, and the middle button is your menu button that allows you access to the machines other functions

This device sucks, only lazy people use them. No difference in the amount of people that walk out of a hospital. $15,000 waste
