RE: The cigarette tax...that money is used in part to subsidize tobacco farmers. The Government, Republican OR Democrat driven, is loathe to give up that much of a revenue stream. Face it, the Government, Republican OR Democrat driven, has sold out the lives of smokers for a big, honking, pile of cash.
