Like most rock'n'roll snobs I had very little time for this band believing then as I do now that they were basically a slightly less talented version of Slade. However I would say that without question at Glastonbury 1995 they were at the top of their form.Oh and I was in the crowd just to the right of the mixing desk - hope that makes you all jealous!
i think my fave version of this is song is the one on the the acquiesce b side is their a video of that one on here? noel say at the start 'this next one's call ed some might say'
i went 2 see em especially at the glast.fest 95". headliners. thaught the charlatans, happy mondays and especially ian brown and the stone roses were good but theses boys have 2 go down as rock<n <roll stars. legends in my book.
@wangsta25 you're more than welcome my friend! - oh and by the way Pulp headlined the Saturday night with the Cure doing the Sunday night slot.To make matters worse it was also sunny and you could easily jump over the fence - happy days!
can remember first hearin this when it knocked take twat off number one went skool on the monday singin it all day, except the only bit i could remember was i've been standing in a space ship, so i got that fookin wrong nevermind. oasis first class
poor Noel...at the end of the song, he's looking around to see where the hell his brother went.......you never can be sure if Liam's gonna just storm off the stage.
Oasis with Robbie Williams dancing on stage with them: THE EVILS OF COKE!! As soon as they'd straightened up and realised what had happened, the Gallaghers then started slagging off the Fat Dancer. JUST SAY NO...to hanging out with Robbie Williams.
robbie williams went to glastonbury this year and hung around with oasis, visibly absolutely wasted, when for the previous 4 years he'd towed the mark with the rest of the band (take that). it was sort of the beginning of the end for him in the band - he left pretty soon after
whats liam doing at the beginning?

Liam's vocals of 1995 are STUNNING... The whole 94-98 period as a whole really, but this is the peak for Liam, then only 22...
ShakeAlongWithMe82 3 years ago 23
I totally agree with you. That was his best period.

I absolutely love this version..Liams power in his voice is amazing, unfortunately he just can't sing like this anymore but he's still a legend!!!
