@xchris1800 Entropy would apply to the universe as we understand it. The expectation based on current knowledge is that universe will eventually "run down". I don't see how entropy relates to evolution, since, the vast majority of all known living organisms are getting their energy either directly or indirectly from the sun.

But there should not be any speculation in the results section and the materials and methods must be solid or the reviewer (such as myself) will recommend rejection to the editor. Are you familiar with the parts of a scientific paper? Are you familiar with peer review?

@Turha101 If you bothered to watch the video you'd know how materialism and atheism are related. He does a great job. He demonstrates, with logic, how the information in our DNA must have a sender. Now if you want to argue that it's possible to believe there is no God but believe in other supernatural things then I would question the basis for that belief when God has given us everything we need to witness His presence. You would also have to reveal the source of the information in our DNA.
The thing is, they simply are not related. Materalism and atheism are simply not related, no matter how much this guy wants to make it seem like they are. They are simply totally different things.

If you look up the original quatrain, every single description was fulfilled. It would be a one in a multi-million chance that he guessed that and sent that quatrain straight to the King of England with an unguided prediction.
As i said earlier, phrophecies dont really carry much weight to me, it will take more than that to make me believe in a book / God. :P

@Turha101 Additionally, if you think Christianity is made up, it shouldn't be hard to disprove it. Evolution is a theory, not a law quite yet because we have yet to witness it. Same applies to the Big Bang Theory. Scientists believe that energy (that very dense ball in the Big Bang theory) created everything. I say that God is that energy because we cannot see him, but we know he exists.

We put the label of "information" on DNA, the make-up of a ~DNA molecule is chemical in nature, we then add code to explain the chemical componants.

I don't see how entropy relates to evolution, since, the vast majority of all known living organisms are getting their energy either directly or indirectly from the sun.

So many people say that evolution is a "fact" and scientists like myself use it all the time in our work. If you wish to deny this, then you have to give a viable alternative, not a mythology.

No, I am not spiritually dead - I forge my own tradition using Zen and Humanism. I deny any tradition that foists obviously wrong mythologies on people. Any religion that claims that there is a god is almost certainly wrong from the start, based on what we have already learned about the universe.

@farvision The Bible says there are only two possible conditions for a person. A child of God or a child of wrath. Since you are not a child of God, then the Bible says you will die in your sins. Because I love the Lord Jesus Christ, I tell others about the free gift of God and then it is up to them what they do with it. Of course this is based on faith, but true Christians know that they are saved because of the witness in us.

If the god of the bible did exist, then of course I would hate him with all my heart for all the awful things he did according to mythological text. I would hate the genocide, the (probable) rape of Lot's daughter, the stupid miracles that don't occur anymore, the tsunamis that kill thousands of people for no reason at all, genetic diseases that torture and then kill children etc etc.

@farvision To understand those events you would need to read the OT that deals with how God proceeded after the fall of mankind which resulted in death and diseases. I did a video on the love (tsunamis) of mother earth. Anyway, we could go back and forth on the creation / evolution issue which is probably a dead end for both of us. Ultimately, death will reveal truth.

@BereanBeacon1 What scientific papers have you read recently? In a good paper the authors are allowed to speculate at the end about the implications of their findings. But there should not be any speculation in the results section and the materials and methods must be solid or the reviewer (such as myself) will recommend rejection to the editor. Are you familiar with the parts of a scientific paper? Are you familiar with peer review?

@Turha101 If you bothered to watch the video you'd know how materialism and atheism are related. He does a great job. He demonstrates, with logic, how the information in our DNA must have a sender. Now if you want to argue that it's possible to believe there is no God but believe in other supernatural things then I would question the basis for that belief when God has given us everything we need to witness His presence. You would also have to reveal the source of the information in our DNA.

The thing is, they simply are not related. Materalism and atheism are simply not related, no matter how much this guy wants to make it seem like they are. They are simply totally different things.
Its not only possible, but many people are atheist and believe in supernautral things.
Some buddhist are atheist, and they believe in reincarnation for an example, and some other things.
As i see it, no God has given us enough with evidence / reasoning to believe that they actually exist.

If you look up the original quatrain, every single description was fulfilled. I might also add that this video fails when it claims that evolution is tied to materialism.
There can be supernatural things out there, but that wont change the observation of evolution.
If a God exists, or if there are supernatural things out there that does not mean that evolution is automaticly false.
If someone wants to disprove evolution they will have to attack the process itself, and not make stuff up as the person in this video has done.

@Turha101 Additionally, if you think Christianity is made up, it shouldn't be hard to disprove it. Evolution is a theory, not a law quite yet because we have yet to witness it. Same applies to the Big Bang Theory. Scientists believe that energy (that very dense ball in the Big Bang theory) created everything. I say that God is that energy because we cannot see him, but we know he exists.
