@TheSUBGAMER if you want a one-time buy: get planeswalkers 2012, and play thru the campaign to unlock the rest of the cards (or lazilly buy them). the magic: gathering has real boosters and stuff, so it's basically just like the real life card game. you pay for more cards, then organise your deck n fight people

I love magic just three months ago i was introduced to MTG by a friend of mine who gave me my first deck and i have been playing ever since i still have a lot to learn but it is my favorite game!

@Naraxsus I could be wrong but seeing how the population grew massively since 21 years ago, and the exposure of the game has increased - never declining. Statistically you -must- have more people to play with. As to what deems a game 'popular', I don't know. I'm relatively new to this, and I -never- have trouble finding people to play with. It's like drugs: once you try it, you realise it's everywhere LOL

i was soooooooooooo fu***** happing as i read "Magic The Gathering Online" cause some time ago i was a very very fanatical player of magic :D

but then i saw that u must pay a lot of money for it - and i was in rage....

i already got a lot of cards, but in the reality not online - i would not pay twice for this ....

im the best with fire decks, some guy only took me down to 19 hp left from 20 and i took him down 22 hp ( last round i made the other guy get to -2 hp ) and i started with 3 raging goblins

One question, who here buys packs and uses them to build decks? if anyone answers yes, what is the plausibility of a all artifact deck, to have darksteel forge make everything indistructable? I'm using artifact lands from mirroden, and my main reason for all artifacts is the darksteel jugernaught i just got in a birthday pack :D

i love playing magic the gathering :D truly one of the worlds greatest card games ever made :D i use slivers >.> mainly cause my bro-inlaw uses token deck-.- like gets around 400 tokens on a single creature XD need stackable sliver abilities in order to kill him lol. poison sliver for the win eh. EH??!!!

@0Yermom0 but it doen's make sense, if the wall had first strike the goblin pikers wouldn't make any damage to it, so there was no fear of him adding damage with a spell

I'm thinking about downloading and playing the trial to get used to the rules (already downloaded the official rulebook from Magic's website and read it) but only want to fork out money for Magic: The Gathering Tactics (still in development).

Was playing MArcomage for a long time (pretty nifty and free card game, based on Arcomage) but now I'm gonna look into Magic for a bit. Might get hooked...

Jesus this is such a noob fest, why sac a creature to do 1 damage with raging, and why didnt he block with wall of spears the first time? was he scared of ur 0 mana availble? why didnt u get ur mage out then do 1 damage to wall then shock it? Shitiest play ive seen in a long time, i expect first timers to do beter ur garbage
