What very little realize about the epic of deathnote is that the entire series wasn't based on light,L,Near,Mello,Misa,and the other investigators but based entirely on Ryuk. Ryuk was the one playing the games and light was his little expirement. He could've stopped the games at any time,and did basically anything during the battle with Light vs. the investigators. The original deathnote didn't belong to light but Ryuk. Ryuk is the main character.Ryuk and the other shinigami's are "god"
