@rinolope ALL of them. Most of the films nowadays use MAYA for CGI while ALL VIDEOGAMES you MAYA for CGI. If you are into all CGI effects stuff MAYA is really really necessary...by the way is really complicated so if you have no experiance at animation programs or so...don't get frustrated at first.
what can i do to make the scene shine like urs? there is only lights or any gI or fg?¿ there ar no uv no? all ar basic shaders? (well 666 hell ststion....)
@AntiDepressiva - I use Maya and C4D and found Maya easier in some respects but yeah.. you're right. For most things C4D is a LOT more user friendly. Especially character animation.
@LiLBrYaNLiL - Cinema 4d. It's a 3D animation program used by more and more studios and most of the networks for graphics. Look it up on youTUBE. It gets amazing results pretty quick. THe interface is similar to Maya and not as fragmented as 3D Studio Max. More than anything else... it's a lot of fun if your processor is fast enough.
i use blender but it is sooooooo hard and confusing, it is the best looking that isint made by autodesk and cost a fortine. i have trouble making good animations to. i am trying to make stick figure animatins. SO IF U KNOW A GOOD STICK FIGURE PROGRAM BESIDES PIVOT PLZZZZZZ TELL ME BY SENDING MY ACCOUNT A MESSAGE
I have taken a year of professional Maya instruction. And it is REALLY, and I mean REALLY difficult. I ended up just giving up on it. I got into it because I love video games and the end product that it produces, but I hate the process that is required to make even decent creations.
Hope this helps anyone who is on the fence about it.
great! i'm learning maya but i really need your help on something: when you've rendered it, how do you convert it into a usable video file? each time i do it, it's only images and i don't want to assemble all of them to make a video...
Thank You! But Maya can do a lot more! This animation didn't even use Raytracing which means it has no reflections and realistic light. It was a animation for our Maya class and I had just one day for rendering. =)
Very nice work, i think with a little work on lighting, some extra details, depending on the aspects of hell your focusing on, you could add blood an broken glass, ripped interior on th seats, rusty metal, broken doors, smudges etc, you could develop a highly realistic looking scene.

@EPITOXEMIA777 Not easy to use for beginners.
It was my first 3D modeling app, but I stuck with it. It is well worth it for its sheer power.
Took me three years to get good with it, started when I was 8 years old. ;)
You may have better luck.

Blender can be nice too
try to find some tutorial on google
there's a lot of stuff
my bro was using blender and made some nice stuff
I learned with maya and 3DsMax so I cant help you with blender since its really different
but you can have a free version of maya (student version or something like that)
mikeyduf 3 years ago
which is easier maya? blender? or 3d max?
xXAnticCafeLoverXx 3 years ago
Blender, because it so simple.
RUDY2295 3 years ago
maya is difficult to learn but easier than blender when you become familiar to it.

once you get used to the User Interface, any 3d app can be at your disposal
I prefer Maya over anything.
lots of improvement eversince Autodesk aquired the licence from Alias. :-)

Iv been working on Maya for about 4 years and still learning
its a long road to travel if you want to become a talented 3d artist.
I know what you mean bro, it only gets tougher. but keep this in mind, the long road you traveled and knowledge you gained cant be forgoten.
your skills are an ireplacebal asset, not many people land a carreer in the game industry. You can do it.
I have nothing but confidence in you, keep up the good work.
also what is your feild?
I Modell/texture in Maya.:-)
rednose91 3 years ago
@dimanasa I, as the creator of this vid, have to agree ;)
But if you really want to try 3D, try Cinema4D first. It's the easiest to use and to start.

or did you use Playblest? please help me!
stefevr 4 years ago
I rendered out Tiff images and combined them to a video-file using Adobe Premiere or After-FX. Quicktime Pro can do this, too.
AntiDepressiva 4 years ago
oh, thanks a lot. so if i have a 120 frame animation, i have to assemble them one by one? this is gonna take a long time...
stefevr 4 years ago
well not necessarily because if a regular video runs from 15-25fps it might be a short video
wiccashaman 3 years ago
A nice glimpse of what Maya can do. :)
I may invest in a copy for my upcoming commercial ventures. :)
How heavy is the learning curve?
tjmixmasta 4 years ago
From what I've heard the learning curve is steep. Like exponentially steep.
DRailhead 4 years ago
Oooh, that may prove to be a bit problematic. :)
Any suggestions for a relatively easy-to-learn yet capable program for 3d modeling/rendering?
tjmixmasta 4 years ago
so steep it travels in a linear path
lol
but once you get used to it, Maya is very freindly :-)
I didnt know the difference between a UV and a vertex the first time I got it...lol
;-)
it takes time to learn it.
My advice is to stick with one subject, dont play around with anyother. It confuses the UI for you
also be sure to follow the instructions and understand the meaning of each action.
its critical that you learn these tools properly, it will cut down on production time for you. :-)
rednose91 3 years ago
how long did it take you to make? with out rendering time.. looks great! i want learn how to do this stuff
