  • That's my middle name!

    per lykke!

lykke kinda a family middle name.

    I love danish names.

  • this isent her right? i think i seen this chick working at the hot topic by my house

  • @CiyderX I REALLLY doubt it. =P

  • her name is Luuggy, she work behind the counter there haha

  • lüke.

  • this is how you pronounce it in danish.

    It sounds different in swedish.

  • The way you pronounce it sounds danish....

  • it's simple. just pronounce it "Loogie"

  • luka

  • not the lykke li.... i know how her lips look.

  • Haha, holy shit. This girl needs to cheer up.

  • OMG PPL!

    It's simple. just say Lykke!

  • @jippihej123 Yaaaaaaaaa<3 yesyeysyesyeyseyseyyseyseyes!

  • OK, it sounds like you are saying luggeh...I actually like Lykke better pronounced Licky...More sexy...ha!

  • it sounds at first like "lougert" or "legker"

  • hoew do you pronounce sadiuhasiudhasiudhaisudhaiusdh

    oh ok thats how

  • HAHAHAH ROFLMFAO.

    agreed.

  • cool... i thought it was lee-kay like the norwegian "ikke"

  • rhymes with noodle!!! lol

not really. i was pronouncing it licka.

  • rhymes with noodle ;D

  • can u please break it down for me

ima prolly extra slow but i have no effein clue wud she is say! lol

  • still have no idea

  • how do u pronounce Hjalte? cos my mate asks me and i never know!

  • Hjälte?

    For simplicity ignore the "h".

The "j" resembles a regular English j excepts its pronounced "jay" and in Swedish a bit chineselike "jii".

The "ä" is pronounced like in the English "rare"

The English counterpart to a Swedish "L" is not similiar but hard many english tounges to get customed to.

The last "te" is just like English "the"

    So, [Jii]Hj-[A]ä-l-[The]te

  • i thought it was pronounced like "like" lol.

and i thought the singer lykke li's name was pronounced likely. haha

  • well this is the danish pronounciation, but it's closer to that than "like". but it's more emphasis on the k

  • You idiots. Of course this isn't Lykke Li. This girl is making a video of how to pronounce her OWN name. She never said she was Lykke Li. Jesus, you people are stupid.

  • So far so good, and how does I should pronounce it?!

    Is that right, Luke-e-lee?!

  • this was added in April 2006. This has nothing to do with Lykke Li at all.

  • it's pronounced like luke-e-lee

  • I thought it was pronounced likey

  • it sounds danish, i'm from norway and we don't say it like that, and def not swedish either:]

so your name is Lykke? srsly?

  • she's definitively danish. i think lykke is an awesome name :D

  • hon är dansk. Lykke uttalas inte så på svenska heller

  • I'm positive this fake person is Danish and yeah that's not how o pronounce Lykke. Haha, not only does this person not look like Lykke, she doesn't even sound like her. Typical Danish-English.

And I don't know if Lykke is a Danish name, but I know at least 5 Lykke and their from Norway.

  • She's not a faker! She never said she was Lykke Li. She added this video 2 years ago!

  • Lykke is a scandinavian name, more common in Denmark and Norway. Altho the singer Lykke Li is Swedish

  • In danish lykke sound like lugy the english word for snot spit lol.

i think the norwegian way is more phonetic. How did a "g" get in there?

  • this isn't her...???it doesn't look like her

  • The Swedish and Norwegians pronounce Lykke with more distinct k's than the Danish.. And in Norwegian, the word Lykke means happiness, while someone who is "lykkelig" (pronounced with silent g) is happy. What a great name for the great artist Lykke Li!

  • from a swede...this girl speaks danish. lykke is indeed a danish name, but she -lykke speaks swedish like a native! and sings wonderful!!

  • That girl is most likely Danish! Norwegians and Sweedish people wouldn't pronounce Lykke that way, I don't care which fjord they come from!

  • It is danish for sure!

  • well it isnt swedish im positive, not even with an accent. but nice hair though.

  • hmmm...... hahaha

  • Swedish, no?

  • doodie?

  • Wow can you hear the gorgeous birds in the background it sounds beautiful it sounds like your in some certain beautiful relaxing place.

  • Sounds like danish, heard by norwegian ears.

  • Might be danish?

  • Sounds Scandinavian, like norwegian or something
