Ok, if thats a coral snake, the snake could kill you. The Tarantula is only going to give you a few flu-like symptoms, if you make it bite you, Seems to me the tarantula did the cameraman a favor by saving him from a venomous snake. Anyone who's been in the Tarantula hobby for any lenght of time would hold this spider with no problem, I have. I have snakes and spiders, and the tarantula here was much less of a danger to the camera man than the snake.

@Davkuy While the coral snake does have potent venom, I think its a little far fetched to say the tarantula was "saving him from a venomous snake." It is a coral, you can tell because the red is touching the yellow, but corals aren't agressive, at least not near as much as some non venemous species. Kudos to you for saying "venemous" and not "poisonous " by the way ;)

That is being ignorant. And obviously someone isn't that scared of a snake if they are willing to get close enough to kill it. Even if you knew it was venemous (and most snakes killed aren't) why would you increase your chance of being bit by getting closer and making the snake angry?
