Although I was born in West Bengal and not the Bangladesh but this has been one of my most favorite songs when thinking of home. Whether bangladesh or india, Bengalis are bengalis and we should cherish our shared culture and language that is so splendidly rendered in this song.

It is extremely unfortunate that Islam is portrayed by India and other western nation for political and financial advantage. But the extremists with skewed views and dictatorship in many Muslim dominated nations (especially in the Middle East) are equally to be blamed.
