@nastylefthook1 all Ali did (Cassius Clay ceased to exist on March 6, 1964, show some respect, he LEGALLY changed his name!!) was tie Spinks up, its a smart strategy, and i used it occasionally in my years in boxing. As long as you break when the ref says "break" theres nothing illegal about it, although when a fight gets good and someone holds, it messes the action up, but its totally legal. You must be a Joe Frazier fan to still call Ali by a name he legally change. I aint mad at you though.

@Ghstwn yeah yeah thats cause my dad told me about that but i just wrote what i remembered plus he lost alot of fans and got rusty cause he went to jail for 2 years he refused to go overseas he said "they never did anything to us"

@ww2guy100 Ali was convicted of draft evasion and was sentenced to 5 years. But they appealed the ruling and Ali remained free until the supreme court overturned the conviction by an 8 to 0 vote. Ali never did time in jail as he was out on bail. But he was robbed of 3 1/2 years of his boxing career though. Which would have been his prime years as a boxer. 26, 27, 28. He was over 29 when he was allowed to fight again. Still he managed to have an incredible second career.
