btw this video is SOO unreal, Ive owned 4 c6 corvettes from twin turbo Z06's to a ZR1, the vehicle will momentarily STOP accelerating at a shift even with the quickest shifts, and letting off the throttle at high speed will cause the vehicle to decelerate quickly and not accelerate like the video is showing, seems like the speedo came from a game or something?

@alyousuf While it's not super pronounced, it looks like there's a great slowdown between shifts. It could also be the software and how it represents the speed of the tire spin, not the actual speed of the car.

@alyousuf The video is very real, the reason the speedometer doesn't pause between shifts is because it's reading the speed off GPS, I couldn't plug into the computer for the speed because it doesn't have a stock computer anymore. The GPS speed has some lag but it's still fairly accurate, if anything it's showing a slower speed than the car is actually going.

@rottepung666 In order for GPS to be totally accurate you have to have about $30,000 worth of equipment. a V-Box is not as accurate as you think. You have to get reading off GPS, and Russian satellites, as well as use a GPS base station in order to get the kind of accuracy you are talking about. You can get GPS systems that are accurate to about 2cm but they cost a fortune.

@hightechcorvette that is actually totally wrong..when they set first world record a hayabusa in UK they used a Performance box witch update every 10hz per second..And when they set world records @ Nardo highspeed oval circiut they use a performance box ALL THESE WHERE APPROVED BY GUINNESS..so LOL to you.. also the performance box was 0.1mph un accurate.. meaning dead on the expensive ones is just the most accurate tool you can ever get your hads on.. but a V-box/Performance box is good enough

@rottepung666 Well i wouldnt say this is absolute nonsense, but not entirely correct. Let me tell you why. The reason why civil/military aviation does not use GPS (at least not extensively) is because it is not accurate enough, instead they rely on ANALOG instruments. Especially regarding speed and altitude. Furthermore, a phenomenon called Time Dilation affects GPS measurment accuracy as well. Hence, despite being very useful, it is far from the most accurate :)

@mihailofsx But you need to calibrate the system dead on but then again a Analog system can be interrupted by: changes in voltage, temperature, vibration, and the effects of other sensors...I am just saying that everything has it`s fault but my point was Guinness crave you use a GPS when you measure your speed to get it verified.. they will not allow anything else.. But if you combine the two you probably 99.9% accurate.. since there is no such thing as "ABSOLUTE 100%"
