  • i have to do this tpday or the star spangled banner at the flag raising

  • MIDI has no expression , dynamics or any other musical qualaties except for getting wvery note exactly right, thats just my opinion i dont mean to be offenceve the video is really neat.

  • THShorn, I was just asking re MIDI. It's been long time since I actually used it! I have a Korg Trinity VS3 with all the options and the sequencer on the Korg allows for dynamics, touch sensitivity, etc. I guess all of that gets lost if you try to output the sequence as regular General MIDI - I always record the digital audio ouput to the computer.

Thanks for the comment about the video.

  • I played the bugle in the Boy Scouts back in 1955. I play the trumpet even today. Maybe I should make a YouTube video explaining how to play the bugle.

  • Thats cool im a scout but you couldn't find anything but midi, im also a musician and i Hate midi

  • What was it that sucked about MIDI? I know that it's really out of date by today's standards.

  • At Scouting functions, when there's a flagpole, the US flag is raised. "To the Colors" Is the bugle call that is played. At summer camp, a flag raising is something that the Scouts see every morning. They have no idea who Patton was and prpbably never saw the movie. We raise a flag because we're the Boy Scouts of America.

  • I'm sorry, but "To Colors" reminds me of "Patton"

  • Congratulations for a very un-PC video. Well done.

  • Agreed. Excellent!
