Heard your version of "Walk a Mile in my Shoes" on Radio Mojo online and had to find out more about the band. The vocal on that tune had me in less than 5 seconds. Pleasantly surprised to find you guys hail from my hometown. Looking forward to seeing you live the next time I get back up that way. Great band all around- playing some of my favorite music. Wicked good ;-)
Good work - a real nice feel & kickin' band. I've backed many of the Soul & Blues guys both in USA & UK James Carr was an exception to the rule. Ben E. King & Percy Sledge were both fun. Lowell Fulson & Harmonica Fats with JD Nicholson - Bobby Warren - S. Central LA - 1985 - 86
My apprentice to Soul music was with a west indian band called the Healers from S. London UK - We played Soul & Rock -Steady - 1967 - This brought back all the memories - Excellent - Hope you all get plenty of gigs etc
Touching and honorable, I am sorry about your lost. You have a wonderful way to connect with music - and what a world it must be for you. Amazing, I love this.
Hi Y'all, What you can't see here is my mother, Dottie, who was sitting to the left of the stage with my sister Aimee watching the show and cheering me on. She passed away from pancreatic cancer in March '07. This was one of the last times that she saw me sing and this song was her favorite. I love singing this one , I love Otis, and most of all, I miss my Mom. She was my biggest fan EVER and my best friend. This one is for her. Thanks for all of the kind words. ~ Tim Pike (the dude singing)
Tim, nice job on this great song ... this is John, a trumpeter who played a couple of the early rehearsal nights at Glenn's Restaurant in Newburyport with you. Very sorry to hear about your mom.
I just saw these guys over the weekend and was blown away. Big band sound from just the 6 pieces. I think the guy on trumpet was fantastic, as was the lead singer Mike Pike. This is a must see band!
How are these guys playing little places like the Marco Polo?! Great stuff!! Haven't seen Tim Pike since we caught him up at the Woodstock Inn during ski season... where he rocked the house! Excellent vocals!

The Otis original is one of my all-time favourites. This is a highly respectable version, both vocally and instrumentally. Nice one.
