  • @member186 YOu stupid little child. Go away till you're old enough to play with the grown ups. Cretin.

  • wtf is 0:44 it looks like plate!! also 1:55 on the right, a character? 2:21 butterfly?

  • God did all these wonders! Period! We are just a bunch of a stubborn race!! :D Ha!Ha!Ha! Wonder ful song, wow!!! Good night, people! :)

  • Space is scary and amasing deal with it ^^ amasing music and amasing pic u'r awsome!!

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Tu vídeo es increíble, espectacular, la música es especial, maravillosa, te felicito, me suscribo.

  • ooh man i want to go there so bad....!!!

  • can someone tell me why we can take photos of other galaxies and the Hubble can take photos of billions of light years but we cant point these telescopes at the moon and squash the moon Apollo landing controversy right now?????????

  • @meh5meh kinda retarded if you think about it.... we are in way over our heads right now... way i see it is ... step 1: land and colonize the moon step 2:get faster than light travel step 3: make it safe step 4: start colonizing other solar sysetems, but right now, we are staring at stuff we cant get to like a dog looking at the chicken leg on the shelf...

  • @meh5meh Those who don't believe are just retards, no need to prove anything to anyone that doesn't believe. And by the way, if those non believers thought heading to moon was impossible wait till 2030, NASA plans to send a manned mission to Mars.

  • There is no god and no invisible men in the sky. The whole concept is silly faerie tail stuff. And before you comment you need two things: 1. A full education and 2. Read the book. Using M theory and gravity, it is pointless to say a creator is needed. But if you do not understand it, I see why you might think it "stupid", but I assure you as dimensions touch (Membranes) and gravity takes hold, the rest is evolution. Life is abundant throughout the universe. If you need a god=Stephen!

  • Great, great music

  • wonderful!!!!

  • this makes me cry of the most wonderful thing in space TuT

  • cosmos theme ftw

  • I can hear Carl Sagan speaking right now.

  • @Wickenburgz multiverse, m-theory, parallel universe, 11th dimensional hyperspace....

  • For those who think we on Earth are the center of everything - THINK AGAIN!

  • @Wickenburgz

When one talks of the size of the universe one implies that it's finite. This begs the question - What's beyond our finite universe? There is now talk in the scientific community of a closed universe with no beyond. They say that the big bang started from nothing (a singularity) and created not only the stars and galaxies but time and space itself as it expanded.

This means there was no time, space or dimension prior to the big bang.

  • Its From Vangelis, Its called Heaven and Hell

  • Please teach me this name of a song and the artist.

  • @REQUIEM40420392 It's the theme from the television series Cosmos hosted by Carl Sagan. I don't know the 'official name' of the piece but it is by Vangelis.

  • @phaedraecda heaven and hell by vangelis.

  • @REQUIEM40420392 It's Vangelis: Heaven and hell , !

  • Good job.

    I love Galaxy's & Space's..

  • Now this is the most beautiful video with music I have seen and heard on youtube very well done.Number one on my list.Thank you phaedraecda.

  • NICE! i love jon anderson and the work he did with YES. this is extraordinary! nice job!!!

  • wherever you are, i'm still waiting for you, my soul, my cosmic bound...

  • very relaxing!

love this video, I always watch it when I need to chill for a couple of minutes.

Kind of puts everything into perspective.

  • i normally don't like the youtube slideshows but this ones beautiful

  • btw can anyone else see faces in certain phots... lol

  • i think the whole reason people are getting so shitty is because this videos done its job man, its inspiring :-)

  • This is a beautiful video phaedraecda.

It is just so stunning to see something so powerful as the cosmos captured in time.

    Thank you. =)

  • mote of dust.

  • I hope one day we could meet an advanced civilization that would be awesome

  • That would be great if there's a life form out there, but i'm afraid we're alone in the Universe...That sounds spooky. :D

  • @irkman123

    It will happen this year

  • @TheSnowsurfer go screw yourself,"young one?" I"m probably old enough to be your grandmother. Keep your fairy tale beliefs to yourself and leave me to NOT believe in fairy tales. I'm too old for such bullshit. Do NOT post on my page, I will only block you. I'm tired of you bible thumpers claiming some fictional character 'believes in me' pffft, get lost.

  • damnnn good answerr...jejeje..its tiresome already...they dont speak for themselves...they speak for others...about what they have been taught...since always..btw good video!! keep posting more of thesee

  • This is a really nice video very beautiful!!

  • It's a beautiful piece of music isn't it. By Vangelis

  • Oh, hey! That's the theme song to Carl Sagan's Cosmos shows! God, I love you for that. xDDD

  • ehhhhhhhhhhhh we have no idea whats out there...our whole universe could be some really small thing to something else maybe there are billions of universes too

  • Space is so, so, beautilful, if there is a God mabe he/she/it is the universe

Only in death shall we find out....only in death.

  • No, even when you die you won't find out, because you're dead. Once your brain has stopped receiving oxygen, you no longer exist.

  • Sadly to the typical human nature, a lot of people tend to create a so-called God to reason all their curiosity. I love these vids, but goodness the godly comments are irritating.

  • Yeah... I agree that the evangelism is annoying. Then again, I find myself disliking Atheists as much as I would any overly inward-thinking religion.

The truth about this universe, or at least what I've been able to gather, is that ANYTHING is possible. From Gods to dragons, fairies to aliens, at some point in all the possibilities and impossibilities they come to life.

Who are we to believe or disbelieve? Just people. Small specks of people, all with such little knowledge of the Cosmos.

  • it's CHAOS out there. You're barred from my site. I'm sick of you bible thumpers coming here and try to pry your fairy tale gods down my throat. Be gone~!!

  • @phaedraecda Ignoye those damn Christians just like the goddess does. Christians can't acknowledge beauty unless they claim a guy did it.

Although a female diety would never have let it get this fucked up.... LOL

  • @ 2:06 what exactly is that?

  • probably a quasar, or neutron star

  • nice vid

  • Idiot.. There is no allah, or god, just cows. Now go fuck yourself.

  • I wonder what the universe will look like at double its present age, 13 billion years from now.

  • What makes u think it's 13 billion? Recent theories purport at least 150 billion light years worth of matter. I believe in an infinite string; where our known universe is merely a pseudo-section. How else can we explain existence, except that it has always been?

  • He means how old it is, not the length of it.

  • Beautiful:)

  • i think they only show pictures cause the videos would show ufos and they can't be brush off like with pics

  • @tokenluck wrong, I used only pictures because that's all I have ffs.

  • @tokenluck What are you talking about...? -.-

  • i keep seen pictures of space where are the videos at

  • hey hey

    phaedraecda

    very beautiful

    and love the music

    thanks

  • When I die, I want my whole body to be ejected out into space and hopefully 10 billion years from now, another civilization will discover it and realize they are not alone.

  • when i die i want to be a free spirit to go look at every corner of the univers

  • Awesome, awesome, awesome. Don't you just wonder what surprises await us out there?

  • its so trippy to think about how huge the milky way galaxy is, i mean if your freakin travelling at the speed of light it takes 100 thousund years to get accross is...and thats just one of billionsof galaxies in space...like seriously wtf.

  • Really wonderfull!

I hope with version 2, could include also a line description.

  • R.I.P Carl Sagan. You are a magnificent example of a human being and made many contributions to the human species.

We love you and miss you.

  • Yeah.. I only just discovered Carl a few months ago. He was a very special person. I wish he had lived long enough to have seen the Hubble Ultra Deep Field photo

  • Why thank you. I take pride in being Queen Bitch, after all, BITCH means

    Being

    In

    Total

    Control

    Honey

how sad you do a name change and start a new account just to tell me I'm a bitch. (laughs and laughs)

  • Dude how beautiful the universe is its makes me both happy and say

Happy because wecan witness such beauty no beauty pageant queen could ever compare with

and sad because we arent able to witness it everyday and because we will never be able to see all of it

  • I agree. I wish we could just fly around and explore everything :[

  • maybe when we die if we become angels then we can fly anywhere, and have an eternity of discovery

  • carl sagan's music, nice :)

  • A star is born...

  • Excellent video and great music. FIVE zillion stars!

  • Up yours, asshole. I don't believe in fairy tales and that includes fictional gods, now take your vitriol and shove it where the sun dont' shine.

How the hell do you get 'god shit' about a video that is displaying the beauty of the chaotic universe.

Now, get the fuck out of my youtube page.

  • I love it~

  • nicely done ----- woooooooooooooooow!!!

  • 2:04 looks like a glimpse into Heaven...

  • @sidgar1 it looks like a pig

  • WOW !!!

THE MOST BEAUTIFULL Video I EVER SAW !!!!

I cry whenever I hear this music

    its just SO touching

    Science meets poetry

    Whoever we are

    Whatever we do

    Wherever we go

    Whatever we become

We are just a miniscule insignificant dot compared to the universe as a whole

  • it just shows how insignificant fear is at that point but love looks like its always there no matter how big.=)

  • A course in Astronomy was one of the greatest courses I ever took. Just reinforced how short sighted, minded, self-absorbed and in a way, pitiful we all really are in the grand scheme of things.

  • this song is off of the old show cosmos. one of my fave shows. very cool. peace on earth! =^-^=

  • just beautiful

  • thanks for putting this together =)

  • Very nice. ; ))

  • Amazing....

  • The supernova is probably the most beautiful phenomenon in the universe. People often think of it as violent, but if you where to watch one it would be extremely peaceful looking, because sound waves do not vibrate through space. It would be the ultimate dream to witness a supernova as closely as possible.

  • as i understand it betelgeuse (spelling) will go s/nova eventually the closest that we will ever be to one, i and you prob wont be there but it will be spectaccular

  • yeah, there are even two candidates for a supernova in the near future. beteigeuze, as you already said, and eta carinae

  • i'm afraid the closest any of us will get to seeing a super nova would be to watch the episode of battlestar galactica where a star goes super nova. :[

  • you dont need any wings or suit or something like that...

the only thing you need is a lil bit LSD..!

  • My God, its full of stars.

  • The music to this video is from the album Heaven and Hell (part 1) by Vangelis. This particular piece was also heard in the original Cosmos series by Carl Sagan

And yes, it is wonderful music.

  • What song is this??

Any way a good vid made...;)

  • diablo10001

    > What song is this?

It is the bridge from Hell to Heaven from 1975's "Heaven and Hell" by Vangelis. You can almost see the heavens opening from the soaring music. The work is divided into two parts, approximately 21 mins each. This masterwork is unusual in that it features a dreamy pop song by Jon Anderson of Yes.

The CD is one of my top 5 favorites and you can download it for only 99 cents on Amazon.

  • Damn its beutiful out there=)Wish i had special wings..

  • you need very special wings.. plus a suit to boot! u can dream tho!

  • Boa musica relaxante mto bom pra,ter uma viagem:)

    Ki jayy!!

  • Nature, the Universe..... So Beautiful... beauty like this was not created at random. There is something big that none of us know.

Human, City, County, State, Country, Continent, Hemisphere, Planet, Solar System, Galaxy, Universe, Life.

  • Superb!!! makes everything we do so unimportant

  • wierd @.@

  • Breath-taking wedding of music and images. Thank you.

  • As we look upon the past, which is undeniable, how

can we conceive ourselves as being finite. Who now looks upon us just the same now as we look upon their past? God, maybe. When finally we realize the fact that time and space are beyond our ability to, at this point, to comprehend, why not God.

  • beautiful!

  • our world cant venture out and explore because we are now a one deminsional being today.....we think of only ourself

  • very nice quote you have there.

  • This is utterly stunning! Thanks for sharing, well done!

  • Thia is good. I love the music. It's so calming.

  • Stuff liek this is just so amazing.... why do we billions of dollars every WEEK when mankind could be moving foward to the final frontier? WHY? This question will go unanswered, of course, but think about it...

  • hey! congratulations on this excellent video recopilation. i would love to know who's song is it, please reply to me!! i've been looking for this song for years.

    thank you!

  • It's the theme from Cosmos by Vangelis

  • where did you get the "Cosmos" music piece from?

  • I downloaded it quite some time ago when Napster was still a free package. Way back in the days before Metalica or whatever they're called, made such a stink about things. Sure glad I did.

  • "Heaven & Hell, Part 1" by Vangelis

  • Beautiful good job!
