How to activate the cube in Ubuntu and Compiz.

right click the desktop, change appearance settings, appearance tab, custom effects....if that doesnt work i cany help you XD

the thing is, some of us don't have mint or compiz

in 8.10 you can use fusion-icon (install it from synaptic)

And controll the compiz manager etc.

you can allso start compiz in terminal or press alt+f2 and wright compiz --replace
