i had my ameloblastoma removed late last year, it was nothing compared to this size. so weird watching someone else's happen. horrible things they are. caused me so much trouble.
i think it's just because i'm young and currently in dentistry but OMF surgery seems like the most glamorous thing you can do from this side of medicine.
Damn. This is why I'll never be a surgeon. I can watch pretty much anything if I know it's special effects, but the real deal always makes me squeamish.
You mean a lateral sinus window technique sadfsd4? Also you need to be a md first then specialize in oral maxfax or you can become a dentist then become an oral surgeon then do oral maxfax while doing your md.
U guys are amazing... for it´s look a really mess !! did u guys are dentist or doctor ?

what was the proximate size of this tumor? & was it close to the main artery?
leabby1414 1 year ago
@leabby1414 7cm's, which required removal of a portion of the jaw. It was sitting on the facial artery & vein, which are sizable vessels.

is there anyway they can do a suegery like that without any blood transfusions?
leabby1414 1 year ago
@leabby1414 they sure can; however, the tumor would have to be much smaller.

Very nice reconstruction, especially after such dramatic changes to the mandible.

That happened to me but only less severe. I'm only 14, which really suprised me because it's common among african americans over 30.
