why when i use the pen tool, sometimes its blue sometimes its yellow and when its yellow it works but when its blue it doesnt

@ThePalladium46 you might be creating a shape layer instead of a mask -- just make sure a layer s selected before clicking or it will switch to shape layer mode (and create a new layer). you can have multiple masks within one layer, hit the m key to shortcut.

@okokbye hey could yu do a tutoriall ,where yu show how to make the text come in by ketframing the posistin and revealing itselft in the mask, cause when i move the text the mask moves aswell :(

@leafblowinSK8 sure - you could either set the mask layers to 3d and parent them to the text (or all to a 3d null that you'd move), or import everything as a pre-comp inside a new composition (with collapse transformation active if there's 3d within it, the small sun looking icon next to shy). pre-comping's easier to work with, turn on 'synchronize time of all related items' in preferences so you can go back and forth between comps and adjust.

@inquestFLASH you can control click (on a mac) on the icons menu bar to show or hide these and other option. you can also toggle groups by using the switches on the bottom left - see if that helps.
