He plays complex stuff, but because he forces it out, it gets sloppy at times. I'm not saying don't push your skills, just don't over push them.

CHops this chops that..Rudiments are good because you can express your musical thoughts more clearly if you have them down reasonably well.But to live by them is damaging because music is more than how fast you can play fla flas and swiss triplets! To JNM, you sound great! You should loosen up the tension in your shoulders and let them hang loose! You dont want all that energy to be wasted. Also for break beat ideas, listen to clyde stubblefield from James Brown.Learn him and then speed it up!

my advice is to just ignore everyones rank coments on this and just practise. Ive never had a lesson in my life and i have no idea what a 16th or ghost note is either. Ive had huge success in drumming without these concepts so who cares. If anything i believe this has allowed me to be were im at today. practice and passion certainly is the main factor here i think.

When you get into 16th notes you should already know push/pull and moeller tech. duh.. When your playing drums you should never look tense, if you are you better be playing at least 32nd notes at 160 bpm.

The guy in the video has 0 concept of the word rebound or ghost notes. Pretty good for a nooby though ;)
