I read that this was staged so the real mini lost, in real life it actually beat Tiff, but as he doesn't like the original it was edited so he could say the new one was better. I think a lot of people need to move on and move with the times. Its just a car, it serves a purpose, and if only a handfull of die-hard enthusiasts bought the the original in the 90's, then they need to update it, and i think they have very successfully! Remember it brings a lot of employment to this country being built in oxford.

Just think the original golf/clio/polo/fiesta's etc etc all have evolved and mostly share only a name with the older. They too have got bigger over the years.

The new mini is actually the new Rover 25. Before BMW sold Rover, they had them design a new 25, when it was nearly finished, BMW sold them on but kept the designs. They did sell the K-series design though, so couldnt use their own engines.
