  • Christ, people. Consider for a moment that it might be the language and not just the singer that makes this version better.

  • Omg LOL at the comments... Seriously though. I love both versions but I'm kinda leaning more against the Japanese version :)

  • I actually like this Korea Versionn

  • much better than japanese

  • loooooove her voice!!!! so endearing and sweet.

  • Love the song to death, hate the Japanese language. This is more than a nice compromise. More professional singer for the Korean version too.

  • I'm just wondering, but does the korean lyrics have anything to do with the original lyrics? Both of the versions are beautiful in sound by the way. ;u;

  • @Aqua1Dakemura waaay too true to the original--which in the end made the korean version suffer even more,in my opinion.

  • I had no idea that korean was such a beautiful language

  • @ninnypiggy Isn't it?

  • I like the orig more, but this version is good.

  • It sounds more soft and peaceful than the Japanese version. There both beautiful though :D

  • nice vocal, but too much hiccups for a smooth song ><

  • i love this song!!! :)

  • you know thinking about it now it does sound like something yuna would sing. that would've been an amazing thing to see after the credits if they made it look like yuna was singing this and showing flashbacks with her and tidus

  • bansai!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes, major bows to Rikki but this singer has a softer, sweeter voice almost as if Yuna herself was singing it. This is so beautifully done but distinct from the original version. I love it and Miss Young has a beautiful voice.

  • where can I get this?

  • OMG! This is just awesome! I prefer this version! And the voice of Lee Soo Young is verry pretty! ♥

  • Korean version sounds like a lullaby. Japanese version sounds like a love song in the wind. The only thing that makes one or the other superior is to the listener's ears and heart. I feel that both versions reach the goal of making the listener enter a dream-like state, rather, a state of longing. Oo, but in preference to Rikki's Suteki Da Ne to her cover of Aeris' Theme...Suteki Da Ne beats it by a million years, and the Korean Suteki Da Ne beats that one "Eternal Love" song from FF13.

  • Comment removed

  • Lee Soo Young's voice is much more fitting for this song. Rikki's voice is just obnoxiously high pitched.

  • Wow! I love this version a lot too!

  • very nice i like it more than the original

  • japs version cute sounds like a kid's singing on the music :) but korean version is beautiful at all :)

  • omg this is so much better than what i had expected...LOVE IT!!!

  • For those who are arguing which version is better, I just have a simple thought.

Even without a singer (both version), this can be considered a great song. We should just give thanks to the composers for composing this wonderful piece of music.

  • This version is just as good as the Japanese one!!! :D :D

  • i think the original suteki da ne was sung in japanese opera. listen to 1000 words, the voice isnt in the same style. so stop complaining about japanese people singing in high squeaky voices. its just that it was done in a different style. just like how modern chinese singers don't sing in peking opera style anymore.

  • @scrtwpnx Actually Rikki, the person who wrote and sung the original song, is a famous traditional folk singer in Japan. It's said she was chosen to sing for the game's soundtrack because her voice is higher pitched than most of the mainstream Japanese singers and also cause it's 'nice and gentle'. Koda Kumi, who is a lower pitched mainstream singer, did 1000 words. (Sen No Kotoba) So yes, there is a distinct difference in style but Rikki isn't singing in opera. ^-^

  • @asianmusicfan001 oh, my bad

  • @scrtwpnx It's all good. You were on the right track but I didn't know if you knew for sure what type of singing Rikki did. Hope I wasn't being to forward in clarifying that for you. I agree with you too. People shouldn't complain over Japanese having too high or squeaky voices. After all, people are people and every language has someone with a squeaky voice. I think if you have a preference then you should just say so and leave it at that cause there's no need to be hating on others.

  • オリジナルが汚されましたね、残念。

  • I prefer this version. ;)

  • they are both beautiful.

  • nothing better than the original , jusst my opinon :)

  • japanese is a phonetically pleasing language because almost every syllable is a vowel. thats why japanese voice acting (even just verbal communication) has lots of room for inflection in their speech. so to native english speakers who AREN'T afflicted with the deadly disease called japanophilia, japanese voicing may sound whiny and squealy. anyways, the point is none of that has anything to do with vocal talent. Lee Soo Young is simply a better singer with a prettier voice... get over it

  • U know, I posted up MY OPINION so why don't you fuckers that have a problem with MY OPINION fuck off. Haven't u people thought that maybe the japanese sing the way they do because of their culture fucken idiots. And no i'm not a fucken anime freak, i'm fucken asian and I know my shit. Whoever said that is probably one himself because his ass is posting on this video and listening to this kind if music... gosh you idiots piss me off!!!!!!

  • Don't make such big fuss about who stole the song or w/e they all sung it well and thats that. Beside, If she did "stole" this song then don't you think we wouldnt be listening to it?? so it's best if the word "stole/steals" be rephrase as "copied" w/ permission -.-

  • Plus I said that koreans take songs from other count

  • Krystal, I never said they stole the song... She's getting too much credit for a song that she didnt write. You're entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled my own... You dont see me harping on how annoying you think rikki's voice is... My WHOLE POINT was that nothing beats the original... >.>

  • Umm okay I guess... Nothing ever beats the original when it comes to anything.... the japanese are an eccentric race and have beautifully composed many pieces of music... I find that the korean, talented that they are, always take music from other countries and try to sing it better. I mean sure her voice is better but rikki and nobuo were the ones that spent hours creating this beautiful song... Like I said, nothing ever beats the original...

  • @mtsan1230 not only koreans made a version of this song, but also chinese, vietnamese and spanish "took" this song. btw, koreans didnt copied or stole rikki's song lol they just made a version of this for the korean version of the game Final Fantasy (am i right?). and vietnamese, chinese and spanish did the same for their version of the game. there is nothing wrong in it.

  • @mtsan1230 japanese suck at singing. their language forces them to squeel. the korean is infinitely better and so are the other languages. who cares if they composed it. I don't listen to songs just because "someone" composed it or were the original. If I find a better version I will listen to it over the original. I find that most ppl who prefer the japanese version as the "best" tend to be anime nerds and japanese wannabes favoring the japs.

  • What part is that :o

    Final Fantasy -?

  • @kritikTgirl Final Fantasy X

  • thumb up if u like both versions

  • The Jap and Korean are the MOST attractive ones to listen to!

  • I have always found Korean to be an attractive language but a pain in the ass to learn. If you think Japanese is hard try learning that language. If you can learn the language god bless you but if you have hard time learning it find comfort that your not the only one.

  • @j0sh3e: actually, i hadnt heard the korean version so many time before i posted this comment... i just heard it, and all i have to say is... this version is so suck ?" it was so boring for my ears. i dont understand how you would be "emotionally touched" by that voice. you are "emotionally touched" by the fact that the singer is lee so young and is singing in korean, true vocal talent means nothing to you. LOLOL.

so, what do you think about it

  • @lelightwin8001 I bet you are Japanese. You just jealous because Lee soo young is so much better than the other girl whose voice just annoys the hell outta me. At least you can write in proper english, except for the part where u say "this version is so suck". suck is a verb u PUNK.

  • @lelightwin8001

Well you're just being blind and biased. Lee Soo Young is indeed a better singer than Rikki, there is not valid argument against that. But in the end, it just depends what version you like, hell I can like the English version way better.

But for those who played the Japanese version, they prefer the Japanese version. Just like how I watched Naruto and I think they voices are way better than the English ones. I just heard the Japanese one first.

  • j0sh3e is trolled =))

  • korean poser japanese is original

  • @amessenger4god78 dont be hating on a different country pulling it off.

  • I love both versions ive listened to them many times but i prefer the Korean Version just a little more. Don't get me wrong the Japanese version is amazing i just like this a little better

  • actually, i hadnt heard the japanese version in a long time before i posted that previous comment... i just heard it, and all i have to say is... this version > japanese version HANDS DOWN... "touching?" the original hurts my ears. i dont understand how you would be "emotionally touched" by that voice. you are "emotionally touched" by the fact that the singer is japanese and is singing in japanese, true vocal talent means nothing to you. LOLOL.

  • wonderful... x3

  • sorry, i don't really wanna bash the korean version, but this version is so bad, it make me tired and bored instead of touching.... >"<

@chumeodihia2009 : i'm agree with you, this original version in japanese is the legend, and rikki has a super singing skill, no one can pass her as no version can pass japanese version, even this is father of the korean version

  • @lelightwin8001 no two languages are more similar than japanese and korean... lee soo young nailed it, this version is on par if not better than the japanese version so idk why youre trippin you ARE bashing the korean version, and its obvious why, lol you love japan so any other version automatically sucks to you. lee soo youngs voice is better... LOL

  • Original version in japanese is the best. About both lyric and voice technical.

  • @chumeodihia2009 nothing beats the original but this comes pretty damn close

  • @chumeodihia2009 I think rikki has a too much high pitched voice. its a little annoying. and she doesnt sing well to me. while lee soo young has a soft and beautiful voice and has emotion in her voice and can sing really well. thats why i think this version is better.

  • The original is great; but a bit high. I prefer the korean version. :3 She has a beautiful voice. C:

  • @JennilyJenn I just think korean is a prettier language. And that's speaking volumes because Japanese is, too, a pretty language.

  • nice song

  • korean ver is more touching..

  • OH MY GOD. HER VOICE. JUST...I love it. I love it oh so much. I'm usually one of those people who are sticklers for the originals, but this version wins out, hands down.

  • @KayariOfMidnight yea i would like tha original if it didnt sound like a rat singing it...

  • korean language is so beautiful <3

  • lee soo young.....so exquisite

  • Korean people are so lucky. now if only English singer can sing this song, this good i will be the happiest guy in the world.

  • @sasuke69 There's an English version of this sung by Susan Calloway. Although it's not the version that's found in the original game... There's only Distant Worlds version of this song sung in English, as far as I know...

  • cool, but i still prefer the japanese version. I guess the original is alwayz the best! ^_^

  • japanese voice is the best! japanese people can change there voice in cute and mature. but i love this korean version. 5/5

  • I really love this version of Isnt it wonderful because it sounds more flowing than Rikki's ver though Rikki's ver suits FFX more and Lee Soo Young's ver kinda suits something more for a korean drama xD

But I love this version the best~~

  • anyone have the korean version of the orchestral arrangement? The instrumental version is.... eh. =P

  • IMHO this version is flawless, even better then original.

  • Japanese version is the only version that uses a really...sweet, cutesy voice... I dont know what to call it, but its pitch is high. It's Japan after all. They adore those sweet sounding voices, like in anime :).

  • @NYtassu I agree with u!! Other version of this songs are good but Rikki's voice to this song its just soo sweet and cute ^.-

  • the korean version is better than the japanese version =)

  • Nothing can beat the Jap version. Korean version is okay.

  • @airiaram yeah your right.

  • The japanese versio is the best , more emotion in the voice :)

  • @sunsetarea yeah

  • Another way to love something, all versions are wonderful. That, and so many wonderful talents pour their souls into it.

  • I adore the japonese version...but this one is even better!

  • jap version FTW!!

  • She has gorgeous voice! Her voice is so enthralling that she almost puts me in the mind of Hikaru Utada in a way.

  • The korean and the japaneese Version are so lovely. The best versions ever.

  • korean version is the BEST:)

  • This song really breaks my heart. No matter what language it's in. I wish the sequel were more like the first game.

  • 意外と普通に聞けますねw

  • OMGG<3 THIS SONG<33

  • this is the coolest koreAN version sutekidane shit thtas so cool

  • prettyful voice :)

  • FUCK SEPHIROTH. HE AINT HOT, WHAT A HURT ASS NIGGAH.

  • @ilyxb00 Sephiroth? .. Seph was FF7? Lol.

  • @Atthex oops..i meant seymour.

  • @ilyxb00 Hahaha I thought so 8D He kinda creeps me out, but Sephiroth is SO HOT XD

  • @Atthex hehe, yeah ;D but they're both evil bastards.

  • I like this version the best. The vocals are deeper.

  • lol CG scenes look terrible in x-2.. they all look so ugly hahahaha. X was the shit.

  • @HwarangOfFaith BLITZBALL!!!!!!!!!

  • How many versions does this song have?

  • Her voice is good. I feel some notes are not matched to song. I think it need better lyric.

  • lol, I think the English is the only one that suck because no real singer would even want to sing it. hehe!!!

  • @Moe7133 yeah cause theres a point where butchering a beautiful song like this would ruin ur career^^

  • @Moe7133 katethegreat19 already did a very nice english version. I think you should check it out =)

  • @willzurmacht It's okay, but not all that great. I want a professional singer to nail it. :) But like RazlerofEsthar said, "There's a point where butchering a beautiful song like this would ruin your career."

  • O_O!!!! SHOCK!!! she has a AMAZING VOICE!!!! IT JUST REACHED MY HEART!!! I LOVE IT!!!! THO I LOVE THE OTHER ONES THIS ONE IS GREAT TOO!!! LEE SOO YOUNG IS GOOD!!!! THANKS FOR A AWESOME WONDERFUL VIDEO!!!

  • thank you for making this its wonderfull

  • i love this more the original and the orchestra version its just such a lovely version of the song! Not that i don't love the other two versions its just this one is so amazing!

  • i love this version. can anyone find me a place to download this version of the song?

  • I enjoyed the Korean version of this song much more than I thought I would. Lee Soo Young has a soft, fluid, and beautiful voice and it's easy to see why many people call her the "queen of ballads". That being said, I still think I prefer the original (though this version would be a definite runner-up). I love RIKKI's clarity and technique, plus her voice sounds much more authentic and 'folk-like'. Not saying I don't like this version because it is absolutely stunning (in a good way) :)

  • I think the Korean version is the best version. Japanese is nice, but she sounds too much like a little girl. Korean sounds like a grown women, as it should. Plus, Lee Soo Young is such a great singer!

  • absolutely wonderful..!

  • lol this song is nice in

spanish korean mandarin japanese .. etc etc etc

    uematsu just rocks

  • but wtf do i know that just my opinion

  • lol pockethamham she just has a better voice then rikki beatuiful isnt it?

  • This is so much more beautiful than the original. Maybe I just don't like Rikki's voice or maybe Japanese gets on my nerves more than I thought.

Anyway, where can I find the lyrics to this version? I think it will be easier to translate from Korean... The Japanese came out as gibberish and I've forgotten too much kanji to figure it out...

  • helps me study

  • man, lee soo young owned it XDDD her voice is soo soft and sweet.. its... its... impeccable.. :D

  • @xoBboySoulox i was about to comment the same thing^-^

  • 韓国語について詳しくないのに、この歌はやっぱ美しい。

  • I never thought I'd like this music in other version that Japanese, and Korean isn't exactly the language I'm most familiarized with... yet this was wonderful.

  • so peaceful . . . beautiful . . . inspirational . . . I love it.

  • as soon as she started i do not know what happen but my body just a thousand goosebumps everywhere!

such a beautiful voice <3 Lee Soo Young's name sounds familiar but i can't think of her (i'll have to look her up)

this was so peaceful i want to sleep to it~

  • This is true with me too, though I have absolutely no idea what she's saying. Korean language is so... peaceful sounding.

  • oh my god.. seriously like a thousand goosebumps.. damn this version is nice.

  • korean and japanese version r the best

    5/5

  • I knoe i'd just started listening to it...I just Love this music, it's so beautiful how they wrote this song.

  • Her name is Lee Soo Young, she has a ton of songs in Korea. You might like her song "Debt" if you like this song. The video is available here on YouTube.

  • Comment removed

  • Now usually I prefer the original version of a song, but Lee Soo Young is better than the original singer. Despite being Korean I've always preferred the Japanese version if the Japanese version was the original, but got to say I've fallen in love with with Lee Soo Young's voice here. Definitely deserves her title as the queen of ballads. To be able to pull this off, despite being a song made for a Japanese singer, is quite an achievement since Japanese and Korean have different rhythm.

  • in korean is it beautyful too

    pretty voice, i like it:)

  • check my page

my version of suteki da ne(me singing peaceful place final fantasy x - sight of spira)

hope you like it, leave a comment

  • this has always been fav song but never heard a korean sing it. it sounds so beautiful. makes me proud im korean

  • nice

  • oh very good

  • i think korean song is better than original.

because jp ver has little soul.

but kr ver has good soul.

  • STILL VERY BEAUTIFUL!!!! i want to go play the game....

  • In Korea Lee Soo Young is known as 'the queen of ballads" thus this song suits her voice perfectly.

  • I just love the sound of Asian languages, partly because its so vastly different from Latin, French, and English. I like Western languages and find them intriguing, yet there is something magical about the sound of languages developed independently of Western tongues. When you think about, our European ancestors did not have the privilege of hearing these words that we do.

  • accord. as I simply find german and french are 'impressive'(no word to substitute) to hear.

and to inform you some, the language Korean, Japanese technically belong to Altaic group of languages. You could realize the difference in compare to listen Chinese for example.

It's nature-given language.. i would say, the Altaics.

  • Cool an corean version. Very beautiful. Please can somebody tell me: is there a french version? I want to hear it too.

  • In my opinion they are all very beautiful.

    I can say I have a favourite version. : )

    5 stars!

  • Thanks for putting this online.

  • The singer's definitely better, but it's the Korean language, that doesn't fit so well

Love that song in any language^^

  • yeah, there's not as much articulation as the original song.

    It's more sluring the notes.

    It still sounds nice.

  • but its still pretty impressive how they did manage to fit the words into the song seeing how korean and japanese are totally different. this song would be impossible in english or spanish.

  • Actually there is a spanish version here on youtube, its pretty good too.

  • The spanish version is really pretty as well x)

  • I knoe i like it, do you knoe who'd the singer?
