  • -frumos.

  • I have a question,im getting a Senegal soon and she doesn't trust people enough to let you touch her head, and she is also scared of hands, she will step up on to an arm and sit on your shoulder but doesn't step up for hands or let you touch her head.Any advice?

  • What's that thing he/she does at 2.23 mean? Like the regurgitating? My parrot always does it, I've always wondered what it means?

  • Kinda hard to tell who's purring when you have a happy cat on your lap. xD

  • Watch my bird videos!:)

  • is Kili a boy?

  • My, Senegal, Jay Jay, loves neck rubs. In fact, he will not come out of his cage until he gets his massage. As soon as I open his cage door, his head goes down to the perch.

  • Aw you're so kind, I love your 20 parrot tricks vid, pretty impressive mate.. Keep showen the love to these lovely creatures.

  • kili doesn't like being patted like that. no bird or animal does. when she makes that "purring" sound she's actually angry/annoyed. at least that was the case with my parrots. it's a sign of aggressiveness. she even tries to bite him, but doesn't because she knows better.

  • @TCC4U Clearly, you don't know anything about parrots and can't tell a happy parrot when you see one.

  • @kiliparrot oh well, just tried to help, i'm sure you know better . sorry if i have offended.

  • @TCC4U If Kili didn't like it, she'd fly away. Instead she flies over to me every day just to be pet this way. Purring, eye pinning, etc are signs of excitement. To understand if it's happy excitement or aggressive you have to look at it in context. If the bird is biting/fleeing, then it's aggressive excitement but if it's bending its head down asking for more, it's about the highest level of parrot happiness you can achieve.

  • @kiliparrot Yeah :) My senegal's exactly the same except he always regurgitates food for me :(

  • @kiliparrot i agree my parrot makes purring sounds when she's mad too.. but that dont mean your doing a bad job.. my parrot isnt as abedient thats why im lookin up your videos lol but we working on it =)

  • @TCC4U I think you are thinking of cats... they dont like to be pet the opposite way... but its different for parrots. I do that to my sennies too and they LOVE it and it feels soooo good. Maybe the same feeling as a ear swab in our ears when cleaning lol...

  • Hello!

  • That is so cool how your bird has picked you as a flock member. Birds rule!

  • I am watching this video with my Senegal and he started purring with Kili, haha. Made my day.

Also, did you name your Senegal after the dwarf from The Hobbit?

  • Sadie has started to purr too, a while ago and I remembered this!

  • What a sweet lil' girl! Aren't Senegals just the best? Glad to know they're all nuts for neck scritches!

  • Hi kili i just want to know why my senegal parrot is loosing his tail would you please tell me why?

  • @MultiChapulin just molting

  • cute :)

  • what happens to his eyes like they go really small is that a good sign or bad because my indian ringneck does it i dont know if i like doing something she dont like i get really confused help me please

  • Awwww. Love snuggles :-)

  • her purring is lovley xxxxx : )

  • We have the same bird cage =] Only mine is green.

  • Hey my friend, i have a same like yours, and i want to know why ( in the end of video) he start to expel something through his mouth, in may hand). Is because he is/she excited?

  • I always thought my Senegal was growling when she did that! lol

  • i have an african grey parrot and he is not tame. love birds :)

  • Can Kili say any other words besides "hello"?

  • I have a Meyers that loves that......of course I also have 8 cockatoos and an african grey

  • my Senegal, Frankie, does the same thing. I absolutely love it.

  • Shes a beautiful Senegal! I have a question about one of the actions she does when youre petting her beak. When she starts to, i guess you could say, upchuck to you, do you know what that means? I used to have a Half moon conure that would do that to me, like she was offering me food. It was cute and strange at the same time haha. If youve got any input thanks!

  • @danigirrl916

My Senegal does the same thing - I've read that it's a mating ritual. By offering you pre-digested food, they're basically saying "Hey, I wanna make a nest with you. Let's be reeeally good friends *wink wink*" :-)

I've also read that you should distract them when they do this - because over time they'll become frustrated that their advances aren't being reciprocated.

  • hey hello woow, you have a very cute bird, how old is your parrot?

  • mine does that too but after he purrs he wants a kiss :p

  • awww

  • Kili loves you =)

  • Dunno if you guys follow my blog or not but I just posted new pictures I got from the breeder of the Cape. A full update on the Cape progress is available on trainedparrot (link in the description for video). As soon as I get the bird, posts are going to become much more frequent (something between daily and every other day).

  • I heard the purr that was cute and her voice is cute. I cant wait til your cape comes i know he'll love you so much!

  • so cute :)

  • She's a sweetie. I can tell she really loves you.

  • She's so happy! And cute :)

  • Adorable! Next she will lay eggs lolll

  • Awwwww...... Kili definitely loves her daddy. She was enjoying every minute of her 'Daddy and me' time ;-)
