  • I think I know this guy, is this 3zat or ezzat damn I haven't seen him in like years...

  • thanks for posting this video. i went to Damascus last year and it was an amazing trip. how was you're experience??

  • @m3ju I loved it the Syrian people were really nice. How did you like it?

  • @Teresathetraveler yes they were. i enjoyed the old mosques.

  • Thanks so much for sharing yr trip . I was in Damascus about 15 yrs ago for about 4 months visiting friends and i miss it there so much . One thing i didn't know was about John the Baptist ..very interesting . Very beautiful shots tks again !!

  • Dear that was amazing, i heard that there are 7 gates located in Old Damascus have you seen that, i came to know that Christianity has deep roots in Old Damascus especially old churches.

  • I love it the way you describe everything as cool and funky, when it's a 1000-year-old sultan's palace =). Here in Europe I was brought up with a sense of respect for things that are older than 100 years. I guess for Americans, you lack the perspective...

  • @Lostinthebigworld I'm Canadian - any building over 100 years old is historic to us, it's hard to wrap our minds around buildings that are thousands of years old

  • Funny...

  • You should make some more videos of you traveling to places, they're amaizng.

  • lol it's like if it was you the tourist leader...u got the whole package..next time u go there ill show more of fun things in damas!!

  • tthankssssssssssssssssssss for videooooo

  • Wonderful videos of Syria!!! I am making my first trip to Syria in April; never been to Middle East and very excited.

  • "I didn't make it to the MAN's side of the Mosque"

With the deep voice, the stocky shouldered build AND the square jaw IF you were not wearing make-up I doubt anyone would have believed you were a female and you could have risked going across to the Men's side.

  • the prayer singing is sooo beautiful. is it live from a speaker or do they use some recorded tape?

  • did you go to homs? lol

  • no I didn't - wish I had the time to see more of Syria but I only had a fweek

  • thats cool.. 80% of my family lives in homs.... also have a house there.

there are so many more places you can go.

  • You had VERY famous ice cream when you were in the Damascus souk.

  • yea it's name is BAKDASH

  • nice clip :)

u should've been to Homs, it's like 160 km far from damascus, another lovely syrian city :)

    Anyway, loved your video

  • thanks for posting, that was very nice!!

one note, a lot of the things you saw in Syria were specific to a certain time period (the four day eid). Like the excessive traffic in aleppo, the slaughtering of animals in lattakia and the choir in damascus, if go there in any other time things might seem quite different

  • That is interesting, thanks for your comment

  • Sounds like a long but nice trip. I hope your guide took you to more places in old Damascus. There is a lot of things to see there...

  • I also visited Aleppo while in Syria. My whole trip started in Germany and ended in Israel

  • Hope you had fun in Syria. Did you visit anyother places?
