the movie really disappointed me. i've read the book a few times, and the screenwriters/director had SO much good material to work with...but they opted for the teenage romance/adding things that weren't in the books/funny side of the book. there were some good scenes, but the major fallout of the film was the lack of any sort of battle whatsoever at the end. the death eaters sneak in, then waltz back out with hardly a peep from anyone. i call bullshit

ahh i ws kinda dissapointed at some mistakes in the film (like they coulda put one more memory in and sacrificed some of the time that the romance took up) but whatever at least with the seventh theyre making it into 2 parts and the director and writers said they are going to give the fans what they deserve by staying as true to the books as possible

dude. How can you people say this movie was good?? If you read the books it was absolutely horrible! They left out the epic fight scene that was the whole point of the book! Where harry, ginny, the teachers, ron, hermione all fight the death eaters, good versus evil. That was what this whole movie was about! They left that whole fuckin part out!

the director and the writers decided that it would be better to not have the same epic fighting scene between good vs evil in both this movie and the next movie as it would just be redundant. Their goal was to hold out and make the last movie better by thinking that instead of 2 battles, make one big epic battle at the end, which in my opinion as someone who's only seen the movies and read none of the books, is a good movie strategy. What is your opinion? do you agree? i am curious.

I have to be honest, the redundancy excuse is bullshit! We didn't need an epic battle, all we needed was to see that competent witches and wizards of Hogwarts were not so daft, that they did absolutely fucking nothing, when the death eaters attacked their school. Nothing! A good 8 minute fight b/w the students/teachers of hogwarts and the death eaters would have sufficed.

Besides that, there was no in depth character or relationship development, and the relevant parts moved too fast. Grade: C

I was so disappointed in this movie & left in shock of how upset I was. I love the other movies & couldn't stand not liking this one so I bought the book and read it (never read them before). It helped improve my opinion of the movie but also showed me all the mistakes they made. Just by having less of Malfoy's repeat actions, more pensive time, & just somewhat of a run-in between Prefects/teachers and the Death Eaters (they just got in and got out!) would have made this another great HP movie.

LOL I watch yesterday at 10:15 pm and got there 3 hours early fuck there was a line. But over all this movie is diffrent then the others its so funny. But there cut out so many parts from the book. Where is the Chinese girl and Ginny and Harry break up because they are to dangerous to be a couple. Can wait to see the last one and see how much shit they put in it. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince ****1/2 stars. See it !!!

Same- by far the best harry potter film so far!

I wasn't so keen on the romance side of this film but I think it was well handled.

Also, the ending was my favourite part, (even if it was awful! :l ) I think they did ... justice at the end scene!
