Wow, I guess now they show that there is a chest on the trees on the top of the room. I remember it took me hours to find a key that I was missing until I accidentally noticed the vines on the side of the first room.

Worst video game designs #10: Placing a chest in the first goddamn room of the temple without any hint that it's there! So glad 3D gives a panoramic view of the room so that you can find it. And why is that bloody temple so creepy with music that is serene yet obviously hides something sinister?! Still, I do love the Phantom Ganon fight ^_^

I like both the original Oot and the 3D version. The original because it's a classic and the 3D version because the textures and graphics were remade to what Oot was supposed to be like.

Huh. It looks like to me they've added lighting to this temple, removing some of the unnerving feeling that this temple like to give you (though it still does its job!). Why do I say this? The entrance to the Forest Temple feels a little brighter than it does on the N64 (I just finished the temple last week while replaying the game). However, I do like the updated graphics, they are definitely do not as polygonal as they were.

@Neorecon19 I agree that this game looks a little too bright and cheery. It looks nice in places like Castle Town and the Temple of Time, however in other parts of the game it takes away the serious tone that the original had.

@Oni64 The music in the Fire Temple was altered early on. Only the gold carts and some very rare 1.1 version grey carts have it along with the red blood from Ganondorf.

Nice score on the early game!

I like that they added the intro for the temples now, it's a nice little feature that was there in the child dungeons but not the temples... always bugged me.
