Howard Dean's 50 State strategy was a success? Is that right? Exactly how was it helpful to elect some people to Congress from Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, etc as Democrats who are not really Democrats who then watered down every legislative proposal that actual Democrats wanted to enact and then have all of those new members tossed out in last November's election? A 50 State strategy to get a bunch of fleeting half-a-loaf acheivements. It is difficult to discern the genius of that move.

These legislative victories that we have received were given to us by Rahm Emanuel and Chuck Schumer, not Howard Dean. After McCain becomes President, I'm sure he'll be calling for impeachment.

The 50 State Strategy was something that had been talked about for quite some time among Democratic insiders, so to act as if it was Howard Dean's complete initiative is foolish. Pro-Gun, Pro-Life, Pro-Military Democrats (who won) were 'primarily' backed by the DSCC and the DCCC, not the DNC. Clinton and Carville have contributed immensely to our party; do your homework on the DLC, PPI, and electoral triangulation (a primary component of the 50 State Strat) before making ridiculous assertions.
