@manbearpig8402 No need to be sorry bro. You were making a joke. Not like you were making fun of the fact he was dead. That would be crossing the line. Wooooooo!!!! R.I.P. Mr. Perfect.
classic, i wish they still gave the wrestlers the stick and let them run with promos, only a few can do it. ric and perfect 2 of the best ever on the mic.
Just think they were both in Wcw. Hell Henning was even a Horsemen, but some dumbass probably Bitchoff. After a week or two had Curt turn on Flair and the Horsemen. That was so stupid they kept cramming the Nwo down our throats. I think that's part of the reason WCW, went out of business. You had the traditional NWA fans and when you keep seeing the Horsemen get burried it SUCKED! NWO was good to a point, but it got old when they had half the roster and they always won.
heel wrestlers don't like face wrestler and vice versa and heel wrestlers don't like face announcers but announcers arnet big enough to argue back or anything lol unless your tazz, jesse "the body" ventura or JBL lol
and according to flair it was in his contract that if he wasng going to be used in the wwf title picture etc he he could leave so vince was basically saying fvck of ric when he told him hed be a midcarder
I read in the Death of WCW book that the WWF made Flair look like a second rate wrestler in the WWF when he first jumped over.
Yeh, sure, having the man be the first to win the Royal Rumble from almost the start, having the man win the world title and be one of the company's top main eventers - good one.
I love that book but there were too many little stupid comments like that in it that slightly ruined it.
Well, he started good, but after six months he was a mid-carder. So, while they didn't treat him as bad as WCW later did, they didn't exactly push him forever. And they certainly never put him over Hogan as a top star. I think you need to reread that chapter son.
A mid-carder? What WWF were you watching? When was he ever a midcarder? He was always in a top feud between 1992-1993, and I would know that kid as I actually watched back then & don't need some inaccurate chapter to tell me about it.
He comes in, feuds with Piper/Hogan, wins the Rumble in 92, double main event at Wrestlemania, involved in the title picture at Summerslam 92, the big hyped tag match at Survivor Series, leaves shortly after! Even Flair's said that stint was one of his greatest.
Obviously your reading comprehension is a little off---I said AFTER SIX MONTHS HE WAS A MID-CARDER. Vince had made it clear to him he'd be a mid-carder going forward, so he went back to WCW. Or are you denying he left WWF for, what, nine years? Yeah, he was so happy and he was on top and that was why he left...as I wrote HE STARTED GOOD, FOR SIX MONTHS. Or tell me about all the matches where they put Flair over Hogan...oh wait, there aren't any...learn to read. LEARN TO READ.
Wtf - MY reading comprehension is off - did you even read my reply? I laid out his entire run between that time and highlighted that he was never out of the top 3 feuds in the company, and was never a midcarder.
Where did I deny that he left WWF? Why don't you just accept that you're wrong and that the only reason he left was because he wasn't to be WWF's franchise guy, instead he could be that at WCW - NOT because he was ever a "midcarder".
I agree with SCFnL29.. Flair was always either the champion or a top contender during his short stint in the WWF. The only time he was even remotely a mid-carder was after Survivor Series 92 when he began feuding with Mr Perfect, but he was on his way out of the WWF anyway.
flair said it himself vince wanted a younger champion and flair wasnt going to be in the wwf title picture instead he would be a midcarder flair picked up his ball & went back to wcw.
Actually Cena is pretty good on the mic.....is actually upsets me how good he is cause I want to hate him...lol.....although I will say his promos are NO WHERE NEAR Ric Flair, Jake the Snake, or Mick Foley.
I like that time so much (1992 when i was 14 yo) that's why this is one of my favorite promos and feuds of all time! And Perfect always gonna be one of my favorite wrestlers ever. I miss him :(

This is what made wrestling great. Story lines, great promos. They actually had passion and cared about the business.
Wrestlers today could learn a lesson from promos like this.
OnlyShapes 2 years ago 2
Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, Mankind, Undertaker, The Rock, Flair, these guys know how to do promos.
