to all the people that say get a b or k series shut up. You go get those. For the price of a k swap I can build 4 fast d series engines. Honestly all of Hondas engines can be built. Plus the d series is just an old school classic. Reminds me of the late 90's. Fun times.
Nice build! I have the same civic sedan that im working on. its my daily driver but it needs a lil more power for the streets. I/H&E alone doesent cut it anymore and im looking to boost it. What kind of engine managment were you running at the time of this video? Stock obd2 ecu or obd1conversion?
whats funny is im running a d16y7 in my civic on 8-9 psi with an ebay turbo kit and a skunk 2 manifold and fuel stuff untuned i put down 213hp 182trq..... on 12 psi i would be making alot more hp wit a tune but hey thats what it is
how much boost are you running? and is the motor built or are you running stock d16 just turbo...im about to throw a t4 kit on my civic and run low boost until i get the money to throw some internals in it
bro nce run for a d16 i recon u shuld sell the motor take the turbo drop a k20 or b18c or even a b16 cause seriously d16y7 motors made for everyday drivin so like wat im sayin is just a waste of time pushin those engine no afence lol

why so slow with a gt28, on 4 psi and stock internals? give it 20psi and you will knock a 13 second run to 10's

yes quarter mile, gt28r garrett turbo..
it had a lot more in it...on th e stock block but it was the end of the season when i did this run..and first time on slicks i got like 3 runs in

was runing 12 psi in this video on stock block, 215 whp, 187 wtq
stock non vtec head as well.
the motor is now built, and ill be runing a different turbo setup on it next year looking for high elevens.
