Well Rare made banjo-kazooie and nintendo owned Rare as a second party developer so when Microsoft bought Rare Nintendo lost all of Rare's IPs.

I know I remember when I first heard how the game would be like back in may I was kinda worried though I didn't truly doubt it and when I saw the trailer I got a huge smile cause I knew it would work. I also love the new forms I mean banjo still looks the same only blocky and kazooie is more feminine which is no big deal to me

Hey, I also agree with ya, this game'll be a small reboot, and thats what the Banjo Kazooie series needed. Sure, the franchise which was part of my childhood is changing, but I know thats neccesary. I DO remember thinking about BK3 having the same old gameplay and wonder if that would be as good as the previous two.
