all this florence and machine hype makes me sick,yes she can sing and she is good but natasha is so much more talented and has been around a heck of a lot longer but the radio got a hold of florence and the more talented vocalist goes without any mainstream credit but maybe that is a blessing.

If you're frustrated because you think Bat for Lashes receives less attention than Florence, blame it on marketing and not on the artist who never did anything to you. And FYI, I discovered Bat for Lashes because I'm a Florence fan and lastfm recommended BfL in her similar artists and now I have her two albums. Keep moaning.

Obviously it's unfortunate talented artists like this don't get the same public recognition as others do, but that doesn't give you an invite to rip on everyone else because your personal artist isn't there yet. That's NOT Florence's fault, or maybe even anyone's fault. The important thing is that you like the artist, it's not about whether or not everyone else does.

I don't know... I really appreciate that her songs are totally written and composed by herself. A really, really rare thing between her contemporary other singers, she's genuine. But actually I find her songs a bit boring, a bit too similar each other.

A bit of a geek thing here but as everyine is comparing her to Kate Bush I'd just like to direct you all to her 'Song of Solomon', think clever old Bats gives her a nod in this song. Bats is definitely the closest anyone has come to being a pretender to the Bush crown and that is saying a lot. Keep it up, Lashes.
