Ummm... did not remember that about Mr. Humphries' book... DVTV is the first place I've encountered that term "Audism" and it has been in the past year or so.
Since you did not encounter the terminology, it means that the only place you interpreted is at a church? Which explains why you're clueless about the issues facing Deaf people on daily basis.

The whole conflict between the groups on DVTV boils down to the abysmal management of DVTV. Most notably: Tayler Mayer.
Many of us restrained ourselves in very professional manner when we got ugly emails, accusations and threats via different channels outside of DVTV but all of them came from certain DVTV individuals. This is why they left.DVTV.
Am I understanding correctly that the primary form of audistic harrassment is Deaf to Deaf on DVTV? I"ve certainly received my share of threats, threats to kill me, cursing, berating etc... pretty much from strangers (I'm assuming primarily hearing) in cyberspace. I block them, and have reported to Youtube the death threat dude. IMHO Tayler is not responsible for dealing with cyberbullying. The individual user is responsible to deal with indiv. incidences of harrassment by indiv. users.
Sigh. Let's do this *my* way. A certain DVTV user has been phoning the local police department to make false claims that I sell meth and possessed illegal guns. And they came over to wake me up at 2 AM. It did not happen once, it happened twice. I got the court to trace the number. It was traced to a certain DVTV user. That "user" has been making threats on others via emails & VP calls. What to do next? We already blocked 'em but they find another way. What next?
Impressive vlog, Thanks for being straightforward honest about Audism free in DVTV. You got that right DVTV should set up AUDISM free and educate everyone in US and the international about AUDISM.
Geepers....If everyone who took heat or criticism quit there wouldn't be many people left on DVTV... Should I quit because of anti-Christian sentiment? There is an awful lot of support for homosexuallity on DVTV as well... mix of both pro and con.... If you have a goal of reaching out to share, educate, mentor, connect then you may have to put up with some negativity... Block the belittlers? Keep your own personal supports and plow forward on DVTV. MIss you! SH
Good vlog but you're missing the point here... not only DVTV promotes audism, it also promote homophobic. Yes, we all tried our best to challenge the concept--audism to the DVTV viewers, all we got was negative comments and more that affected outside of our cyberworld. I left DVTV last year for same reasons people are walking out. I just did it quietly.
I challenge you (in most kind way) how to resolve conflict when people continue to belittle you and berate your own being?

It says much of what you raised some important points concerning conflict. There will always be in conflict everywhere, so it is in reality. It is the question of how to manage this conflict in a healthy way. You already explained. Wise of you! There is no further when someone escaping from reality, or blocks in front of conflict. The win in the long run when it sorts itself out, although it can be hard. With the conflict gives it more of the maturation process.
