animal neglect is actually very typical of petco and petsmart, but its not just the cute/furry animals that are suffering, i went into one of their stores today and saw that the reptiles and their enclosures were in unacceptable conditions, the reptiles had no heat source whatsoever "which is crucial for there survival" cages were at 65 degrees, which is way below the corrects temps, cages were full of feces, no clean water, absolutely unacceptable.
Stop shopping at petsmart and the homeless pets will suffer over the the fed, housed, small pets. Petsmart donates a lot with the charities Most Petsmarts are good about their small animals. You need to think before you act.

right. the less and less sales of animals, they less and less animals there will be to sell. see, it's all about how a business works, if they continue to sell less and still breed the same amount, they will just be losing money. You buying them only tells them "oohh these things are hot!" and will breed them only more. It's kind of like a supply and demand, depending how much we demand (are buying) are how much they are going to be suppling. If any of that makes sence..lol. hopefully!

you can alsway call your local ASPCA on them if the animals are in a bad situation. its better off that way. so your not creating demand and the animals will be properly taken care of and a investigation can be started.
in doing so your creating demand for that animal and they are just going to produce more of it. the best thing but also the hardest thing to do is to not buy animals from there at all.
