@baderry1 As much as I like Dodge Viper, your comment doesn't make much sense. Dodge Viper is SRT10 which means it uses a v10 that's like 8.0L big. Corvette is the one that uses supercharged V8 which sqeezes 38 more hp than Viper, and the car itself is also lighter making itself superior to Viper. Dodge need to step their game up if they want Viper to compete with Corvette or GTR. Right now ZR1 can smoke any of the two, but GTR can smoke the Viper, at least in a quarter mile.

Yes I saw that video of the GTR pulling 430. AWHP. My mistake(typo). I also saw a recent video of it pulling what I stated so it all depends on the dyno. What was impressive was the huge torque number which I think is why the GTR seems to defy logic with it's power/LB ratio. If you go to the Hennessy site you'll see stock Vipers pulling way higher than 508RWHP. maybe you saw one on a Mustang dyno?
dynojet. hennessy has no stock vipers on their site at all. the reason the GTR is so good at the top end is simple. AERO. it has the drag of a greased fish. big hp cars like the viper need downforce to keep the grip up when speed increases. With a super high tech AWD system the GTR doesnt need it.
in a roll race between these 2 cars. Now when you add the HKS 570 PKG, I have seen a dyno with only those few upgrades 570RWHP, and 600RWTQ. That is huge and shows how choked off the stock GTR is. On the flip side an Exhaust, LT headers, CAI and tune on a Viper can get you over 600RWHP as well. I love the GTR but the new Viper is straight up beastly. If you're an avg. driver the GTR is better for most people as it makes anyone appear to be John Force. Viper u need skill to get a good pass

Stock new generation Vipers are putting anywhere from 520-560RWHP down depending on dynos and DA which is high for a 600HP car considering 10-15% drivetrain lose. The stock GTR puts down up to 480RWHP but also 470RWHP which for an AWD car is impressive plus it's hard to manual shift a Viper faster than a GTR tranny. Stock Vipers have trapped as high as 130MPH in the 1/4, best GTR trap I saw was 121MPH so big difference in
A 2003-2006 SRT10 viper will have a trapp speed of 118-124 mph in stock condition. It will run 11.5-12.2 depending on the driver and conditions...
While drivers will vary greatly..Trapp speed will amlost always be the same..118-124 mph trapps means that on average the 2003-2006 srt10 viper with 510 HP through the 8.3 litre engine will trapp at 121 mph through the 1/4 mile...
Even in 2010 the 2003 vipers average of 121 mph is still fairly impressive..

in this particular vid the cars have a minimal hp difference. MOSCOWLICH199 has several upgrades from HKS. The standard hp to the wheels of a gtr is 450 or so depending on the car because each rates differently, the 2010 viper is 490 hp to the wheels because of it's extremely HD clutch and tremec tansmission. 300 hp diff? I think not. Next time do some research before you say anything else moronic.
congrats you can read a brochure. It produces 600hp at the flywheel. You have HP loss from the drivetrain, thats true with all cars. HP to the wheels or WHP is roughly 15% less than the rating at the flywheel. Before you call someone a dumbass make sure you know what your talking about. It just makes you look stupid.

A 2003-2006 SRT10 viper will have a trapp speed of 118-124 mph in stock condition. It will run 11.5-12.2 depending on the driver and conditions...
While drivers will vary greatly..Trapp speed will amlost always be the same..118-124 mph trapps means that on average the 2003-2006 srt10 viper with 510 HP through the 8.3 litre engine will trapp at 121 mph through the 1/4 mile...
Even in 2010 the 2003 vipers average of 121 mph is still fairly impressive..

I've seen this GTR in another video the GTR has 550 bhp and the viper has 710 bhp...considering the GTR is a v6 3.8 litre vs v10 8.4 litre viper the GTR is fucking amazing !! People always gotta race in bigger and more powerful cars just to keep up with the GTR lol they dont call it GODZILLA for nothing

that might be true but you gotta remember that the GTR weights a lot w/ all the power options, less hp, and plus rolling start which i believe thats an advantage for the viper, if it was a dead stop I'm sure this race would be a whole different story but nice cars though

in this particular vid the cars have a minimal hp difference. MOSCOWLICH199 has several upgrades from HKS. The standard hp to the wheels of a gtr is 450 or so depending on the car because each rates differently, the 2010 viper is 490 hp to the wheels because of it's extremely HD clutch and tremec tansmission. 300 hp diff? I think not. Next time do some research before you say anything else moronic.

congrats you can read a brochure. It produces 600hp at the flywheel. You have HP loss from the drivetrain, thats true with all cars. HP to the wheels or WHP is roughly 15% less than the rating at the flywheel. Before you call someone a dumbass make sure you know what your talking about. It just makes you look stupid.

i know how a car works and how horsepower is lost, and by the way i wasn't wrong because i did not say that it puts out 600 to the wheels, and you're wrong about the horsepower output because its around 22% for an automatic and about 18% for a manual. the only true way to tell is to put a car on the dyno. plus why are we arguing in the first place, its fucking youtube, i'm done, but you can go waste your life otherwise.

where do you guys come up with modded this and that, they are probably both stock vehicles, the viper got the jump and the gtr was actually pulling on it top end which is impressive considering how heavy that gtr is. Put these on a track and see how they do. Any high horsepower rear wheel drive should do well against an awd powerplant

This is a 2009 viper gts and not the srt10,this is faster then srt10, 3.7 0-100........he really miss a shift at the second race,viper is a bit faster and remember is 83 liter engine,so if skyline follows that viper is just one word,SKYLINE ARE BEAST TOO!!!!

NO stock GTR ran that time... if so, PROVE IT. Show me the comfirmed times... Funny thing, is that you won't find ANY information about how "stock" that GTR was. First was 7:38 then they knocked off 10 seconds...

can you? No. In fact, you lose... a GTR has been tested at the ring and they are in the 7:50 bracket. No offense but that is the factual information based from actual, independent testing.

The 7:26 time was verified by Porsches PR ppl from Stuttgart and other media who Nissan invited. German sports mag king HMS ran a 7:38 in a Series1 gtr!
(it wouldn take too long to verify these by doing a bit of reasearch)
You cant buy the one that did the official 7:39 time anymore as all new cars are the Series2

Rofl... even your srt10s and zo6s that you mention are full of computers too, all cars are. You'll knock cars for having turbos and AWD, but it's okay to have 2/4 more cylinders? I've never understood that about people... they act like it's so unfair for a NA to go up against a turbo, yet they're fine with the NA having 2/4 more cylinders.
