They're not happy, they're ignorant. Diseases, infections, lack of justice system, lack of education, no medicine, deaths, possible child abuse. I'd strongly urge you to reconsider your standpoint. Incredible amounts of anthropological literature exist which speak contrary to your beliefs stated here. Where civilisation does not exist, there is no need for amenities such as institutionalised health care and education. Of course they have their own traditional medicine for treating ailments, and I am sure they are much more educated than all of us at living harmoniously with their surroundings and treating each other with respect

Kind of like innocent until proven guilty. Entertain the idea for a moment that someone who is older might have more experience and actually know what he's talking about. Look past the stereotypical 'old person' persona that many older people take on by habit, and you might find something.
