I'm both a hockey fan and a soccer fan. For the record, physical contact IS allowed in soccer it's just not that common. Due to the way it's regulated by refs most soccer players will play-up any contact to make it look worse. Very similar to the way many hockey players are now doing the same thing with the interference calls. Before you bash a sport, learn the rules.
Yeah, I've seen fast football kicks measured over extremely short distances. Like from the free kick line to the net. The football is not designed like a golfball. The dimples on a golfball and elastic inside gives it the drive and carry. Once a football is kicked, it loses most of it's energy after impact. I do golf and I do play football.

If an NHL player goes down, he will usually miss the next game unless its a stick to the face. Also, pucks hurt a lot more to the face than a squishy ball. I'd rather get a 100 mph elastic ball to the face than a 70 mph inelastic disc of vulcanized rubber. Try kicking a ball and shooting a puck against a garage door and see what does more damage.

I'm both a hockey fan and a soccer fan. For the record, physical contact IS allowed in soccer it's just not that common. Due to the way it's regulated by refs most soccer players will play-up any contact to make it look worse. Very similar to the way many hockey players are now doing the same thing with the interference calls. Before you bash a sport, learn the rules.

Yeah, I've seen fast football kicks measured over extremely short distances. Like from the free kick line to the net. The football is not designed like a golfball. The dimples on a golfball and elastic inside gives it the drive and carry. Once a football is kicked, it loses most of it's energy after impact. I do golf and I do play football.

If you knew anything, you would know that when refering to a Name, Country or Language, you are supposed to capitalize the first letter. "Please Be Proud Of Me", again wrong grammar. @mzambito1985 I think its the toughness of soccer. Players go down in agonizing in pain and get up 5 minutes later and keep playing. If an NHL player goes down, he will usually miss the next game unless its a stick to the face. Also, pucks hurt a lot more to the face than a squishy ball. I'd rather get a 100 mph elastic ball to the face than a 70 mph inelastic disc of vulcanized rubber. Try kicking a ball and shooting a puck against a garage door and see what does more damage.

Reddox cut in front and the McArthur simply tapped him on the back and knocked him off balance. It wasn't even a hit. He didn't intend for it to happen otherwise he wouldn't have any concern for the player being injured as a result. There will always be accidents in fast paced sports no matter how hard people try to avoid them.

nah man i played travel soccer for 5 years and travel hockey for 12+ it all depends on how u play, i broke my ankle in soccer, rolled ti a few times and pull a hamstring while in hockey i tore my acl. Ive gotten more serious injuries in soccer but u will get a ton more injuries in hockey just from blocking shots or just gettin hit

They dont play as much with their legs as soccer players but i have seen hockey players break and fracture their legs in multiple places when hitting the boards. I have seen twice that i can recall a players throat getting slit, multiple head injurys from 100 mph pucks hitting them in the face, and once by example that i know of is a player that died from a blow to the ice with his helmet on that killed him in 48 hours. If i actually looked i could probably find much more common and worse things
