It was nice in this version of the tale that Rose Red actually gets to meet the prince before getting married. In the book of the tale I have she doesn't meet him till after the bear/prince kills the gnome and turns back.

to me it seems that the younger prince either copied his older brother or stole his moment because he asked rose red like a second after his brother asked snow white but his brothers was more romantic!

@Omega13X2000 The person wrote it wrong. They meant Hayao Miyazaki who is a famous Japanese director that made popular animated movies like Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, and so on.

@sepiropth No. It's a Grimms Tale done by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm from Germany. But their art styles are very similar. I can see where you could have gotten mistaken.

Like I told everyone when I put this on before. Back in those days a girl between the ages of 11-15 would have been married with a cart of oxes. Didn't you see that scene in that episode of Psych with the Nanny company that was robbing houses. Or That movie the Color Purple. In fact I mention to someone how in most of these tales most of the young girls get married really young. I also mention that in these stories they fall in love at first sight. It's the way it always is in these things.

@TheNatureDancer A girl 10-15 was quite eligible, and a 28 year old was an old maid! In fact, it was common practice for a girl to be sent away age 8 to another house to be schooled, then be sent to marry someone age 12.

@AdiGallia42 Considering the expected lifespan in those days, it wasn't such a bad idea to get started early.

As someone said many times previously in this thread, marriageable age was a lot earlier in those days. There was no idea of adolescence as an extension of childhood in those days. Someone was a child one day and expected to be an adult once adolescene hit. Even in the Disney fairy tales, they get started early. Both Aurora and Ariel were about 16.
