Well the Navajo and the Dene are the same people their language is almost the same awhile back anthropologist found a cave in Utah and they came across several mocassins that have same beadwork as the Dene people in the NWT... I read it somewhere anyways lol
@fortchipman1234 Hehe, this reminds me of this book I read called Navajo Legacy: The Life and Teachings of John Holiday. Anyway he recalls going with his son to Alaska/Canada and meeting some Natives who happened to be Dene and they all were speaking to each other in Dine/Dene. The 4 Dene told him something on the line of what you and cammy676 said.
@fortchipman1234 John started telling them about what his elders told him when he was lil, about how the Dine came to live where they are now. He got scared, cuz the 4 Dene told him something. It made me chuckle a bit, but also made me want to ask my Ndee Grandparents what they think.... But you should read that book its interesting.... Better off reading the book, than me trying to recall every fuzzy detail.
